The Housing Navigation Center (HNC) is a physical location where those experiencing homelessness receive help to regain housing and those at risk of homelessness are prevented from losing their housing. The Housing Coordinator will be based at the UWWC Housing Navigation Center (HNC) and responsible for providing case management and housing coordination for households experiencing homelessness. Housing Coordinators work with individuals that engage on site, as well as people identified through the Coordinated Assessment and Housing Placement (CAHPS) by-name list. Coordinators advocate to ensure the most vulnerable households experiencing homelessness in the community are connected to supports to find stable and permanent housing. Housing Coordinators will provide person-centered care to a household and work with them toward stability and self-sufficiency, with the ultimate goal of obtaining stable housing. Housing coordination is a collaborative approach where the worker and guest focuses on overcoming any challenges that may be preventing the household in obtaining stable housing. They will facilitate connections to community agencies to coordinate care and connect households to additional resources, and ensure households have ties to their community and support systems. Additionally, this position will work with the Outreach Coordinator to assist with targeted street outreach to people experiencing homelessness in our community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul><li>Utilizes Housing First, trauma-informed care, person centered, and culturally competent principles when interacting with guests</li>
<li>Provide housing navigation and housing-focused case management services to people experiencing homelessness on and off site.</li>
<li>Complete intakes for people entering into services utilizing Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)</li>
<li>Utilize motivational interviewing to engage guests to developing holistic housing plans</li>

Summary:  Acts as a proactive liaison to United Way, the community, and partners by promoting support, positive communication, and outreach. Participates in community needs assessments and allocations processes to ensure the effectiveness of programs that address critical needs in the community.  Supports the recruitment and active work of volunteers to assist with the mission of the organization.  Represents and communicates United Way in a highly visible, positive manner as a collaborative, impactful and trustworthy organization. Maintains regular contact with United Way staff, and the Board of Directors as well as with donors, community partners, and other community stakeholders to provide information and guidance to maximize United Way’s visibility, viability, and community impact.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities: 
Community Relations – 35%
<ul><li>Directly coordinates and facilitates specific community coalitions, including but not limited to Brockton &amp; Plymouth Community Health Network Areas.</li>
<li>Promotes strong relationships with both member and non-member community health and human service organizations through positive communication and attendance at meetings and events.</li>
<li>Liaison to Board Community Impact Committee, recruits and maintains Allocation Panelists, oversees RFP Process, including revising and collecting all forms and reports and managing online grant portal.  Prepares spreadsheet with scores for Community Impact Committee and Board of Directors. </li>
<li>Revises, issues, collects, and recaps all Year End Success Reports.</li>
<li>Represents the United Way through membership and active involvement in community groups and organizations.</li>
<li>Assist with the development and implementation of a community needs assessment.</li>
<li>Provides support to United Way community partners.</li>
</ul>Publicity/Marketing – 35%
<ul><li>Regularly produce and distribute press releases to local press outlets, radio, and cable to publicize United Way community involvement.</li>
<li>Liaison to Board Marketing &amp; Communications Committee.</li>
<li>Maintains and updates United Way website and social media channels.</li>
<li>Assists with public forums and special events to promote United Way community engagement.</li>
<li>Designs, publishes, and distributes United Way e-newsletter.</li>
<li>Designs and publishes Annual Report.</li>
<li>Event coordination and support as part of United Way team, including, but not limited to, Annual Meetings, Kick Off/Day of Caring and other events.</li>
<li>Designs Pledge Forms and other United Way campaign materials.</li>
</ul>Volunteer Resource Development – 15%
<ul><li>Maintain volunteer database to engage volunteers in meaningful volunteer opportunities.</li>
<li>Provide ongoing training, support, and recognition of United Way of Greater Plymouth County volunteers.</li>
<li>Provides ongoing communication to agencies and volunteers and provides leadership and management of United Way Day of Caring and other volunteer events.</li>
<li>Provides overall supervision in conjunction with onsite work of volunteers at United Way.</li>
</ul>Reporting and Record Keeping – 15%
Responsible for keeping accurate and organized records of all community impact activities in the Andar system, annual reports for United Way Worldwide, including Database 2, annual budgeting, and annual audit reports.

United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) has an immediate opening for a Front Desk and Meeting Coordinator to perform a wide range of administrative and interpersonal duties of a highly responsible and complex nature. Serves as a liaison with others within and outside the organization regarding events, purchasing, personnel, facilities, information technology, and operations. Also serves as the front desk administrative assistant who coordinates and supports convening meetings held at the UWGC.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
<ul><li>Answers, screens, and directs incoming calls. Greets, directs and escorts internal and external guests, donors, and volunteers, fielding questions and inquiries.</li>
<li>Coordinates and supports convening center meetings for internal and external groups who use our facilities. This includes coordinating and scheduling meetings, obtaining required usage agreements, greeting attendees for meetings, assistance with technology usage in the facility, room setup, catering support, billing support, and coordination with ATS and facilities on equipment repairs.</li>
<li>Trains and introduces new employees and volunteers to the convening center systems and processes of UWGC.</li>
<li>Sorts and distributes incoming mail as well as prepares outgoing mail and other correspondence. Responds to incoming mail and other materials not requiring the attention of the manager(s) supported.</li>
<li>Coordinates with Property Services and Community Engagement on larger deliveries and donation drives.</li>
<li>Provides optimum support to assigned departments by remaining aware of departmental goals, providing ongoing communication, and organizing priorities to meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Coordinates schedules and arranges meetings through several calendars, reserving and preparing facilities as needed and overall coordination and execution for both UWGC and building tenants.</li>
<li>Supports department personnel by assisting with copying, faxing, filing, mailing, typing and proofreading letters and reports and other tasks of a similar nature.</li>
<li>Help communicate with vendors to obtain bids and quotes for services to be provided to UWGC.</li>
<li>Assist with timely payment of incoming property-related invoices by submitting for manager approval and providing documentation to AP department.</li>
<li>Coordinates office supply purchases for the organization and maintains the storage room to ensure that office supplies remain in stock and are organized efficiently.</li>
</ul>Job Relationships With: Collaborates with team members at all levels of the UWGC organization, UWGC Board members and volunteers, external partners, and UWGC tenants.
Minimum Qualifications:           
<ul><li>High school graduate or its equivalent; some business school or college training with a major in secretarial science is preferable.</li>
<li>Two years previous office or front desk experience preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office products (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams) is required.</li>
<li>Work requires typing, editing, and proofing general business correspondence and preparing reports.</li>
<li>Position requires excellent organizational, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to lift 20 pounds is required.</li>
<li>Extended viewing of computer monitor.</li>
<li>Position hours – workday is 8 hours typically between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, schedule may vary to provide occasional support of evening and Saturday meetings.</li>

Under general supervision in a virtual contact center environment, updates and evaluates the quality of community resource information contained in the United Way 211 resource database. Provides updates and support to the Information and Referral contact center of United Way 211 through data gathering, creating relationships with, and sending out annual solicitations to all agencies contained in the database. Completes data input into the database software according to style guide and inclusion requirements. Supports and adheres to Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) standards. OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The employee in this role has the following top duties and responsibilities:
<ul><li>Assist with the maintenance of the Information and Referral database.</li>
<li>Research resource data in and serving the 23-county area; verify and enter data.</li>
<li>Assist with documentation and reporting of information and referral statistics and other reports as required.</li>
<li>Categorize information according to industry standards.</li>
<li>Researches and maintains current knowledge of all AIRS database standards.</li>
<li>Complete annual updates for agencies listed in the resource database through outreach to agencies including phone, email, and in person efforts.</li>

United Way of Greater Kansas City is seeking Community Resource Navigators for the 211 information and referral line. The Community Resource Navigators will be responsible for handling local and contract calls, providing excellent customer service, caller problem assessment, information and referral, screening for program eligibility, advocacy, and appropriate follow-up for 211. The working contact center shift hours are flexible based on the need for additional coverage and the Community Resource Navigator will be expected to pick up a minimum of 3 shifts per month based on the person’s general availability.
