POSITION SUMMARY Supervise 211 and Crisis Services Specialists and provide individuals with suicide intervention, safety planning, crisis de-escalation, problem solving, brief assessment and appropriate social service referrals within a contact center environment.&nbsp; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:<ul><li>Constantly monitor incoming contacts (calls, chats, texts, and emails) and Specialists’ interactions for timely response, intervention, and quality service.</li><li>Provide technical support to Specialists and address any issues and outages.</li><li>Constantly answer inbound chat, text, and email client contacts and complete outbound crisis/suicide follow ups calls.</li><li>Maintain accurate data collection on all contacts in the appropriate database.</li><li>Maintain a non-judgmental attitude when interacting with Specialists and contacts, displaying sensitivity to all cultural backgrounds.</li><li>Advocate for clients when appropriate and assist Specialists in understanding when advocacy is needed.</li><li>Maintain acceptable level of contact handling and customer service performance as described by 211 and Crisis Services training standards and performance metrics.</li><li>Provide appropriate screenings for specialized programs.</li><li>Access multiple databases for resources and appropriately refer contacts.</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in using multiple types of contact center software, computer hardware and telephone equipment.</li><li>Assist Specialists by conducting interventions with contacts in imminent safety risk situations.</li><li>Initiates debrief meetings with Specialists following challenging contacts (suicide, homicide, child abuse, human trafficking, domestic violence, etc.) to review protocols used, provide feedback and coaching, and ensure personal self-care techniques are used, as necessary.</li><li>Accurately document all meetings with direct reports on a regular basis to ensure effective communication, coaching, and professional development, and conduct formal performance reviews. &nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with Managers or Directors to address performance concerns and departmental processes to enhance quality assurance outcomes.</li><li>Occasionally answer inbound 988 Suicide &amp; Crisis Lifeline and 211 information and referral calls when needed.</li><li>Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.</li><li>Be available in times of emergency and/or disasters.</li><li>Complete all training for new programs and services related to 211 and Crisis Services when needed.</li><li>Be able to attend all required in-person and virtual meetings.</li><li>Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>JOB REQUIREMENTS Job requirements include:<ul><li>Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree. Associate Director Grants

Director plays an essential role in managing projects, crafting compelling written proposals, and fostering

Responsible for managing the grants ecosystem and conducting the full range of activities required to research, 
prepare, and submit grants to foundation, government, and corporate sources. It is supported by department 
leads who are responsible for program management and reporting, financial coding, and team collaboration. 
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
â Refine organization-wide grants strategy. 
â Oversee a portfolio of current grants. 
â Research, identify, and evaluate a mix of governmental, private, and corporate funding opportunities that 

align with UWABC’s strategic goals and priorities for potential funding. 
â Maintain processes and procedures related to grant management and proposal development. 
â Collaborate with staff to identify and resolve budgetary and compliance issues. 
â Utilize appropriate technology and data systems to manage and monitor grants effectively. 
â Provide direction and oversight to other staff members assigned to assist with the administration of the 

Grants Program, including cross-departmental teams. 
â Stay updated on IRS rules and regulations pertaining to Community Foundations, Private Foundations, 

and Fiscal Sponsorship Funds, serving as an internal expert in these areas. 
â Ensure that key information related to the various portfolios managed is accurately maintained within 

UWABC platforms. 
â Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external grant partners. 
â Ensure compliance with grant rules and policies. 
â Provide the Board and staff with reports, information, and recommendations regarding the Grants 

Program. 
â Actively participate in team and organization-wide staff meetings. 
â Ensure all grant deadlines are met and that all monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports are submitted as 

required. 
â Establish feedback mechanisms to facilitate the early detection of end-user issues. 
â Lead short- and long-term grants budget planning. 
â Participate in United Way events and experiences as scheduled or requested

Minimum Requirements 
â Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of professional experience in the nonprofit sector related to grant 

development and management including federal, state, and private sources; or an equivalent combination 
of education and experience. 

â 2 years or more of supervisory experience.
