They will leverage community relationships to build trust and partnerships while supporting the development and implementation of the department and overall organization strategic plan. This person will work directly with the entire Philanthropy team to meet fundraising goals.&nbsp;KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>Articulate and passionately communicate United Way’s work with all internal and external constituents, through conversations and community presentations.</li><li>Create, nurture and leverage relationships to increase giving, participation and engagement.</li><li>Develop a thorough understanding and support for the mission and work of United Way, through strong relationships with other departments.</li><li>Actively engage in business networking opportunities as assigned, including scheduled before and after-hours activities.</li><li>Utilize and help develop the CRM system (ANDAR) for relationship management, communication records and data accuracy.</li><li>Support fundraising initiatives and events as assigned.</li><li>Serve on event project teams providing marketing and communications support including the development of invitations, materials, messages and program scripts.</li><li>Be proactive and collaborative in helping staff develop and prepare materials and communications that is newsworthy, timely and meaningful.&nbsp;</li><li>Create Systems, SOP’s, documents, tracking systems.</li><li>Create proposals for partnerships involving diverse entities to actively participate in community fundraising initiatives, engage with community business groups, and foster investor appreciation.&nbsp;</li><li>Build on assigned portfolio of investors.</li><li>Have in-depth knowledge of all workings of UWWC including partners and investors.</li><li>Use knowledge of systems, partners and investments to make connections and guide and build internal and external relations to access community resources.</li><li>Creating, planning, supporting, United Way of Weld County events, including but not limited to Leadership Socials, Recognition events, community events, fundraising events, etc.</li><li>Showcase United Way of Weld County’s position and reputation as the trusted, accountable agency, collaborating to deliver solutions for the community’s greatest challenges.</li><li>Takes initiative and sees tasks through with minimal supervision balanced with cooperative teamwork.</li><li>Assist in periodically reviewing and developing department budget.</li></ul>United Way of Weld County General&nbsp;<ul><li>Support and promote the mission, values, goals and objectives of United Way, including representing United Way in professional organizations and the community (as assigned).</li><li>Support fundraising efforts of United Way and activities that support United Way.</li><li>Support United Way annual events, disaster response, and other activities as assigned.</li><li>Participate in staff meetings and in service opportunities.</li><li>Contribute to organizational promotions including writing promotional copy, proofreading informational and campaign materials, participation in outreach, etc.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>United Way Competencies for Philanthropy Staff<ul><li>Effective Fundraising: Donor-focused and results-driven, with a relentless focus on gaining financial resources to support United Way’s mission and community impact strategic objectives.</li><li>Strategic Relationship Management: Develops and maintains strategic relationships that generate the financial resources necessary to support United Way’s mission. Philanthropy Manager

POSITION SUMMARY The Corporate Engagement Manager will manage an assigned portfolio of corporate accounts and individuals within those accounts. This position is responsible for establishing and growing relationships within these assigned corporate accounts to maximize revenue and engagement for the annual giving campaign. Additionally, this position will be responsible for seeking new business prospects that include lapsed business, resulting in event sponsorships, volunteers, and campaign opportunities. Sales experience is encouraged for this role. Reports to : Director of Corporate Engagement Location: Greenville, SC FLSA Status: Exempt &nbsp;AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY &nbsp;Manage and deepen relationships with assigned corporate accounts and individuals within each account to increase engagement and philanthropic giving to United Way of Greenville County to support transformative change in the areas of affordable housing, high quality affordable childcare, Post secondary education, and transportation. •Support Corporate Engagement Director in fundraising efforts in accordance with the goals and principles of the annual campaign. &nbsp;•Constantly seek new corporate prospects and developing relationships with new or lapsed campaigns to gain and retain corporate sponsorships, volunteers, and increase corporate revenue. &nbsp;•Through strong relationship building skills, gain deep understanding of each corporate relationship and how United Way of Greenville County can assist with their Corporate Social Responsibility goals and employee engagement. &nbsp;•For each corporate campaign, develop and implement corporate solicitation plans and work closely with Campaign Coordinators and key volunteers to create and implement a campaign plan. Effectively execute each corporate campaign while continuously tracking progress and offering support as needed. &nbsp;•Give presentations to corporate employees during their annual campaign. &nbsp;•In partnership with the Volunteer Engagement team, ensure that assigned companies are aware of and involved in volunteer projects and community events. &nbsp;•In a warm and engaging manner, provide customer service support to donors and volunteers who reach out with questions regarding their corporate campaign, engagement activity, individual gift, or other inquiries related to United Way of Greenville County. &nbsp;•Monitor all 3rd party processed accounts responsible for, this includes campaign results reporting, communications, campaign dates, webinars, and pledge reports available through United Way Worldwide and other resources. &nbsp;•Take responsibility for continuously updating corporate and donor information in the Contact Management system. &nbsp;•Perform other duties as assigned. &nbsp;QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, communications, or social services is preferred. •At least 2 years of fundraising or sales experience is required. •Flexibility to adjust schedule to work evenings and weekends as needed. •Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an awareness of the nuance required to connect with diverse audiences. •Listen to understand and speak to be understood. •Obsess over the details, but don’t be a perfectionist. •Strive for best-in-class. •Challenge assumptions without being rude or disrespectful.
