ABOUT CARE ACADEMY:&nbsp; CARE Academy was originally an elementary OST program operated by Billings Public Schools.&nbsp; United Way of Yellowstone County (UWYC) assumed responsibility of CARE Academy in the fall of 2009, and operates at five locations, serving between 300-350 students daily.&nbsp; CARE Academy offers Whole Day programs on most school holidays and PIR Days.&nbsp; CARE Academy also offers a summer program that serves between 70-80 students each summer. &nbsp;&nbsp;Laurel Public Schools CARE Academy locations are at West and Graff.&nbsp;
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ol><li>Work cooperatively and in conjunction with Program Director, Site Coordinator, Principals, teachers, parents and students.</li>
<li>Assist in implementing the activities offered to students.</li>
<li>Assist in tutoring CARE Academy students during homework help time.</li>
<li>Assist with distributing daily snacks to students.</li>
<li>Attend staff training opportunities provided for CARE Academy staff and volunteers.</li>
<li>Maintain standards of students behavior needed to achieve a safe and positive climate in the before and after school program for students and staff.</li>
<li>Communicate clearly and regularly with the Director regarding all aspects of the program.</li>
<li>Greet and assist all students, parents, staff, and visitors.</li>
<li>Assist in special CARE Academy activities that may include all program sites.</li>
</ol>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Annual United Way Campaign
Plan and conduct successful annual United Way campaign, including 100+ workplace campaigns
• Design and implement a written annual strategic campaign plan, including a well thought out and organized campaign structure with clearly defined roles for volunteers and a set schedule of planning meetings to set goals and monitor progress of the campaign.
• Maintain weekly campaign schedule of company solicitations by regular contact with companies and conduct and/or assign staff, loaned executives and other volunteers to conduct solicitations.
• Manage and conduct the daily/weekly activities of the campaign (including, but not limited to, campaign presentations, campaign trainings).
• Prepare, maintain, and update all campaign records, reports, materials, and data in data base.

Job Relationships:

	Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of successful fundraising experience are required.

• Experience with Andar donor base software preferred.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive, strategic, integrated effort to build the base of individual Palmetto Society donors ($1,000 and up) and Tocqueville donors ($10,000 and up) and increase their level of support through annual giving at Trident United Way (TUW).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Function 1:
Identify, cultivate and steward multi-year top tier donors ($10,000 and up) and engage donors in multi-year step-up programs,
Essential Function 2:
Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward leadership gift donors ($1,000 and up) to achieve the goal approved by the Board of Directors for outside the workplace campaigns.
Essential Function 3:
Support and staff a volunteer Palmetto Steering Committee to identify, cultivate and steward individuals in order to develop resources by filling the key positions of regional chairs, leadership-level giving chairs, and at-large steering committee members as identified in the Palmetto Society Business Plan.
Essential Function 4:
Provide strategy and guidance to the Events Coordinator to plan events designed to recruit, cultivate and/or steward leadership-level gift donors and/ qualified donor prospects through regional events as identified in the Advancement Plan.
Essential Function 5:
Work in collaboration with Corporate Advancement Officers to identify leadership donor prospects from the workplace campaigns and create and implement engagement strategy for reaching out to those donors.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary
As the Fundraising Research and Analytics Director at United Way of Central Indiana, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of community. You will use your expertise in data analytics and fundraising to provide leadership around fundraising analytics, prospect research, and reports that help inform the organizations fundraising strategy.

Fundraising Research and Analytics Director

Position Summary:&nbsp;The Resource Development (RD) Assistant will primarily provide a leadership role in the management of the donor stewardship journey in order to achieve individual, department and company goals. Additionally, the RD Assistant will provide support to the Director of Resource Development in all areas related to implementing and supporting the fundraising initiatives and goals for United Way.&nbsp; United Way professionals should exhibit core competencies: mission-focused, relationship-oriented, collaborator, results-driven, and brand-steward.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives Revenue &amp; Impact
<ul><li>Resident expert on customer relationship management system communications platform.</li>
<li>Run reports as requested on behalf of the Director of Resource Development which will enhance knowledge of donor base for effective communications.</li>
<li>Manage and maintain global accounts where engagement is requested (but presentations are not permissible) to encourage business support and achieve United Way goals.</li>
<li>Utilize CRM to review accounts and to process pledge transactions with a high level accuracy and speed.</li>
<li>Identify and write up adjustments to donor accounts as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain an organized filing system of donor pledge cards and payment documentation.</li>
</ul>Strategic Relationship Building
<ul><li>Responsible for carrying out all phases of the communication plan with donors for enhanced stewardship.</li>
<li>Through timely communications is able to connect donors’ and prospects’ areas of interest directly to United Way’s work and inspire commitment and support for United Way.</li>
<li>Utilizing our CRM/communications platform, practice effective stewardship by thanking donors, informing them about the impact of their gifts, and keeping them apprised of progress on Community Impact work.</li>

Under general supervision in a virtual contact center environment, updates and evaluates the quality of community resource information contained in the United Way 211 resource database. Completes data input into the database software according to style guide and inclusion requirements. Supports and adheres to Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) standards. OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The employee in this role has the following top duties and responsibilities:
<ul><li>Assist with the maintenance of the Information and Referral database.</li>
<li>Research resource data in and serving the 23-county area; verify and enter data.</li>
<li>Assist with documentation and reporting of information and referral statistics and other reports as required.</li>
<li>Categorize information according to industry standards.</li>
<li>Researches and maintains current knowledge of all AIRS database standards.</li>
<li>Complete annual updates for agencies listed in the resource database through outreach to agencies including phone, email, and in person efforts.</li>
<li>Evaluates data accuracy, style, and inclusive language for all database records.</li>

<li>Utilizes recognized professional and agency standards in carrying out the goal of resolution of the client’s problems or requests.</li>
<li>Provides advocacy for clients in situations when a situation needs, or an individual is unable to follow through on the referral(s) independently. Advocacy can include outbound calls to agencies, research, or other reasonable steps to facilitate service delivery to the client.</li>

Position Summary

The Manager of Prospect Research is responsible for the management and implementation of prospect identification, pipeline development, prospect research, industry analysis, and relationship management. The Manager of Prospect Research also broadly manages portfolios by overseeing the moves management strategy, engagement plans, and appropriate accountability measures for fundraisers. Additional duties include providing actionable insight into donor behaviors through in-depth research and analysis and collaborating on projects that support the organization.
Position Duties &amp; Responsibilities

Prospect Research:
<ul><li>Develop strategy for proactive research that will guide donor-centric and data driven decision making related to prospects and donors.</li>
<li>Identify, qualify, rate, and assign individual prospects in support of fundraising goals and objectives. Advise and provide guided recommendations for grant and corporate prospects.</li>
<li>Provide prospect research to fundraisers who primarily work with leadership level ($1,000+) and major level ($5,000+) prospects.</li>
<li>Utilize research tools to analyze individual wealth indicators, including salary, stock, real estate, and other assets, to determine overall financial capacity, wealth ratings and solicitation potential.</li>
<li>Prepare and regularly maintain thorough, accurate and timely profiles on individuals, corporations and foundations as needed to support fundraising initiatives. Manage biographical records, utilizing methods such as daily news screenings, reviewing push technology/alerts, and donors lists to identify new individual, corporate and foundation prospects and monitor current prospects.</li>
<li>Manage research request queue and respond to requests in a timely manner.</li>
</ul>Portfolio Management
<ul><li>Provide strategic consultative partnership to Chief Strategic Intelligence &amp; Information Officer and Chief Fundraising &amp; Engagement Officer that includes prospect strategies, analysis and reporting related to major and transformational donors.</li>
<li>Manage updates to individual donor portfolios, prospect assignments and asks for fundraising team members within the CRM database</li>
<li>Oversee the development of policies and procedures around prospect pipeline management and activity.</li>
<li>Lead a moves management system, including establishing baselines and metrics for movement and activity.</li>
</ul>Research &amp; Projects:
<ul><li>Collaborate and regularly meet with other Strategic Information team members for donor surveys and other cross-departmental projects.</li>
<li>Collaborate and regularly meet with Marketing &amp; Communications team members for research, evaluation and targeting of donor communications.</li>
<li>Participate in on-going professional development activities as relevant, to maintain and enhance skills and abilities and stay abreast of current prospect management trends and research techniques.</li>
<li>Development of best practices in prospect research &amp; management in order to recommend ways to create efficiencies.</li>
</ul>Annual Goals: Achieve established goals. Work with the Senior Director, Fundraising Research &amp; Analytics to ensure goals reflect and align and contribute to the broader goals of the organization.

Education and/or Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required, three to five years of successful prospect research experience, library science, information management, analytics, or another related field.</li>
<li>Experience using a CRM database, iWave, WealthEngine, LexisNexis and/or other prospect research software is required.</li>
<li>Excellent written communication skills and a clear, concise writing style are key skills to this position. &nbsp;</li>
</ul><ul><li>Significant aptitude with research methods and experience with computers and relational databases&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to follow ethical standards, utilize discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.</li>
