At the core of this role is a crucial focus on ensuring the Development department has the background information, context, strategy, and data and systems necessary to support fundraising efforts and improve donor engagement through an effective moves management process. This role also serves as the lead researcher for the Development department, working closely with department leaders and frontline staff to ensure they are informed and prepared for their external relations efforts.Under the guidance of the Director, Development Systems, the Manager will support departmental technological and data literacy by helping to document and maintain resources for staff. They will also assist in project execution related to reporting, data analysis, data integrity, and the planned transition to a new CRM.KEY RESPONSIBILITES:The Manager, Development Systems and Research is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of three key areas: prospect research, knowledge management, and reporting and data management. The ideal candidate for this position will achieve these goals with success in the following areas:<ol><li>Prospect Research</li></ol><ul><li>Conduct proactive research methodologies utilizing paid and free, online and offline donor research resources to support the fundraising efforts of United Way Massachusetts Bay</li><li>Analyze and interpret financial data and assets, biographical and personal information, professional and business information, areas of interest, philanthropic support, affiliations, compensation, stocks/options, retirement plans, and property transactions, to identify financial capacity and propensity, for purposes of developing comprehensive profile reports and briefs on annual gift, planned gift and major gift donors and prospects, tailored to the needs of revenue generating staff, to be used to develop strategies and solicitation requests and/or for cultivation events.</li><li>Provide research briefs and philanthropic partner profiles, including assessment of wealth and philanthropic interests (or grant-making criteria), and propensity to support United Way.</li><li>Provide high quality briefings on donors and prospects in advance of meetings and events. In cases where research is needed for individuals or organizations outside of existing portfolios, the Manager will hold primary responsibility for developing the brief. For briefs related to donors within existing portfolios the Manager will supplement the information as needed.</li><li>Research and make recommendations on the appropriate tools and software to support effective and efficient prospect research.</li><li>Serve as the department expert for and key user of research tools.</li><li>Establish and maintain a system of media alerts for key partners and donors and facilitate information to relevant staff.</li><li>Leverage wealth screenings and predictive modeling techniques to support the revenue planning process and enhance a data-driven approach to prospect management.</li><li>Maintain membership and staff access to publications and tools that support research efforts.</li></ul><ol><li>Knowledge Management</li></ol><ul><li>Identify and implement innovative approaches for the processing and documentation of policies, systems, practices, and processes and their associated data.</li><li>Follow and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of data and administration.</li><li>Create and maintain knowledge management systems (searchable content library, cross-team drives, etc.) for resources, procedures, and trainings to ensure front-line fundraisers are independently successful in leveraging available systems.</li><li>Support trainings for Development department in cultivating technical fluency and data literacy.</li><li>Continually analyze processes and procedures to identify ways to improve efficiency and become less reliant on manual processes, and implement changes and improvements.</li><li>Support the bi-weekly Development Strategy and Moves Management Meeting by sharing progress against goals and supporting frontline fundraising staff in their preparation for external meetings.</li><li>Enter, update, manage and track research materials in the CRM. Maintain the integrity of all constituent records.</li></ul><ol><li>Reporting and Data Management</li></ol><ul><li>Become and serve as a systems expert in the various reporting and data tools the department utilizes, especially the CRM. POSITION SUMMARY/SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY The Senior Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for the successful operation and ongoing development of United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County (UWLLC) and United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County Foundation’s (Foundation) financial systems and its internal controls including budgeting, auditing, accounting, financial reporting, grant accounting, investment and cash flow oversight, and governmental reporting. This role is also responsible for aspects of the organization’s Human Resource function including payroll, administration of employee health insurance plans and management and oversight for the employee retirement plan. The Senior Director is responsible for administrative oversight including, but not limited to organizational policies and procedures, insurance coverage and compliance, facilities asset management and technology infrastructure. The Senior Director also serves as an integral member of the UWLLC Management Team providing input and decision making at a leadership level and serves as the primary liaison for all financial matters to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors. MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: 


PHILANTHROPY 

Donor Networks – 50% 

ï· Manage and lead donor networks, Tocqueville, Leadership, United Way Young 
Leaders Society, and RISE: 

o Establish and maintain staff support at all levels of leadership involvement 
(Advisory Board, Planning Committee(s), etc.). 

o Provide staff leadership and/or support for year-round engagement and 
activity plan: 

ï§ Speaker series, 
ï§ Volunteer projects, 
ï§ Leadership development, 
ï§ Networking events. 

o Collaborate with Directors of Philanthropy and Marketing to develop, 
coordinate, and execute comprehensive social media and digital 
marketing/outreach efforts i.e. Websites, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and

ï· Research and develop new donor networks to engage targeted communities. 
ï· Develop strategies to expand donor networks group donor base and create 

campaigns around engaging more members at the corporate level. 
ï· Track and update donor networks group membership through donor management 

software. 

o Timely entry of member information into the data management system.

updated contact information. 

ï· Ensure integration of donor network activities with all UWEPC departments and 
programs as well as maintaining direct ties to UWEPC mission and strategy.

Results Framework common indicators. 

ï· Plan and execute donor and sponsor recognition and “thank you” efforts. 

Philanthropy – 25% 

ï· Support Director of Philanthropy’s recruitment of new donors. 

ï· Assist to implement strategies that meet goals within workplace giving campaigns 
and year-round corporate engagement needs. 

ï· Assist in gathering and analyzing donor data and metrics related to engagement 
to determine the best methods of outreach as well as areas of impact of most 
interest for current and potential donors. Utilize findings to customize and tailor 
messaging and engagement opportunities. 

ï· Conduct presentations to employees, key executives, and other special interest 

groups. 

ï· Assist with annual Appreciation Luncheon to solicit table sales from corporate 
donors, ensuring corporate donors are appropriately acknowledged and 
coordinating thank-you’ s and appreciation gifts. 

Grant Research and Coordination – 25% 

ï· Research and identify grant opportunities that align with UWEPC’s mission, 
initiatives and impact programs. 

ï· Works with leadership team to develop a thorough understanding of 
organizational priorities and develop and implement an annual grants strategy to 
secure new and maintain renewable grant funding. 

ï· Conduct the full range of activities required to prepare and submit timely and 
compelling grant proposals/applications. 

ï· Works and collaborates with key staff to ensure that essential elements of the 
grant project are gathered and communicated in documents. 

ï· Establishes and maintains relationships with public and private funders. 


QUALIFICATIONS—KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Bachelor’s degree in subjects related to public relations, communications, marketing, or 
social services, plus five years of volunteer or work experience and/or an equivalent 
combination of education and experience related to the duties of the position. 

Knowledge of the non-profit sector is a plus. 

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Experience serving on a board of directors is a plus.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary/Objective 
	Reporting to the Director of Impact and Resource Development, this position is responsible for providing intensive case management support, individualized coaching, and navigational support to community members and community partners, to coordinate and deliver whole person care to individuals facing significant challenges and barriers. As part of the UWFM 211 team, this position works to reduce barriers to career pathways and employment, and to promote economic security and wealth creation.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Conduct a whole person assessment to understand a unique situation, goals, and barriers.</li>
<li>Assist individuals to identify strengths and community support, prioritizing the most critical barriers.</li>
<li>Develop individualized plans that address identified barriers and goals.</li>
<li>Utilize resource database to find resources available to execute individual plans.</li>
<li>Assist individuals to access services to relevant resources and services that stabilize and improve their educational and wealth creation opportunities as well as their overall wellbeing.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain effective communication with all relevant stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners.</li>
<li>Act as a main point of contact to resource partners for caseload, addressing concerns and providing regular updates on case progress.</li>
<li>Analyze complex issues and challenges within cases and care coordination system.</li>
<li>Develop innovative solutions to address challenges and barriers on behalf of caseload and care coordination services.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to overcome obstacles and achieve desired organizational and department outcomes around care coordination and reducing the racial wealth gap.</li>
<li>Continuously assess and enhance case management processes and methodologies.</li>
<li>Implement best practices to optimize case management efficiency and effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
<ul><li>Knowledge of common barriers faced by Fresno and Madera community members, specifically those from disinvested communities of color.</li>

</ul>Education and/or Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience</li>
<li>A minimum 3 experience in case management, social work, or a related field.</li>
<li>Combination of experience and education. </li>
<li>Current Driver’s License and verifiable automobile insurance </li>
