The Senior Manager, Volunteer and Community Engagement will steer the strategic vision for volunteer engagement across the United Way organization, modernize technology and processes to increase and align community and corporate volunteer engagement efforts, and build stronger community relationships.

Strategic Volunteer Engagement

IT Project Manager

The 211 Care Coordinator assists residents in connecting to social service support by assessing needs and making referrals within a network of partnering organizations. The Care Coordinator will provide a broad-based human services needs assessment; make referrals within the referral platform; collect and record appropriate data on referrals; and follow up to ensure referrals are utilized and complete. Vice President of Development

The Director of Strategic Incubation will design, launch, and test new strategic initiatives in alignment with our organizational strategy, impact pillars, and revenue goals. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Director will oversee a portfolio of incubating initiatives to ensure effective operational supports and implementation to ensure the initiatives meet the strategies, goals, and objectives of UWGC.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Strategic Initiative Design and Planning
<ul><li>Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and other key stakeholders to conceptualize and develop innovative strategic initiatives aligned to United Way’s mission and goals.</li>
<li>Develop comprehensive incubation plans for new initiatives, including project timelines, resource allocation, and key performance indicators.</li>
<li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of incubation plans, including engaging experts in areas such as program development, finance, marketing, and technology.</li>
<li>Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential obstacles related to new initiatives.</li>
</ul>Lead in Developing Incubation Procedures and Initiative Lifecycle
<ul><li>Lead in developing operational policies and procedures for incubating initiatives around fundraising, communications, partner vetting and adherence to United Way mission and strategy.</li>
<li>With Chief Strategy Officer, serve as an advisor to organizational leaders for incubating initiatives.</li>
<li>Oversee the vetting process for potential new initiatives to ensure they are in line with the mission and values, as well as the business model and fiscal goals of United Way.</li>
</ul>Manage Initial Lifecycle of Initiatives and Facilitate Transition
<ul><li>Oversee the testing phase of new initiatives, collecting and analyzing data to make informed decisions about scaling, pivoting, or discontinuing projects.</li>
<li>Manage budgeting and resource allocation for incubation projects and work closely with finance and resource development team to identify funding needs and potential revenue sources.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and collaborators to support successful implementation of strategic initiatives.</li>
<li>Regularly report on the progress, impact, and outcomes of incubation projects to organizational leaders and other relevant stakeholders.</li>
<li>Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the success and sustainability of incubation projects.</li>
</ul>Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred.</li>
<li>At least five years proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and innovation in a nonprofit or related setting.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership and advisory/consultation experience.</li>

Director of Strategic Incubation

United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) has an immediate opening for a Director, Eastern Area to provide leadership to and coordination of United Way efforts in Clermont and Brown Counties in Ohio. Drive community efforts to support family economic well-being in the Eastern Area by building United Way support and connecting United Way impact efforts to key opportunity for progress in the community. Serve as key United Way representative in Clermont and Brown Counties including facilitating volunteer engagement, community representation and informing of United Way strategy, and building champions for the mission and vision. Lead implementation of local fundraising impact strategies as aligned to organizational priorities. Manage local annual campaign and maintain year-round fundraising and engagement efforts for assigned donors.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Development
<ul><li>Oversee the advancement of philanthropic engagement and donor investment in the Eastern Area; provide oversight for the Eastern Area workforce campaign.</li>
<li>Manage portfolio of top-level individual and/or institutional donor relationships across UWCG’s Eastern Area footprint.</li>
<li>Ensure deep, strategic, year-round, sustainable relationships between the donors and prospects within assigned portfolio are qualified, cultivated, and stewarded.</li>
<li>Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and process for the individuals and prospects within assigned portfolio is managed, analyzing data and reports for opportunity and risk identification. Track and evaluate effectiveness of strategies, campaigns, and overall results.</li>
</ul>Community Impact&nbsp; 
<ul><li>Advance the community impact work of United Way by seeking partnerships with multiple sectors and aligning resources toward program and initiatives that promote family economic well-being in the Eastern Area.</li>
<li>Coordinate United Way led or supported local and regional initiatives as they work in Clermont and Brown Counties.</li>
<li>Maintain relationships with funded partners and support capacity building and development of partners in conjunction with the UWGC Impact team.</li>
</ul>Community Engagement
<ul><li>Provide staff leadership to the Action Council and other Eastern Area volunteer committees.</li>
<li>Represent United Way on various local committees (business and non-profit) that assist in advancing our mission of supporting economic well-being.</li>
<li>Provide local coordination with UWGC regional team for areas of marketing, advocacy, agency relations and donor relations.</li>
</ul>Administration/Operations
<ul><li>Participate in UWGC organizational leadership and operational activities.</li>
</ul>Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree is preferred; a master’s degree is desirable; or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of five years’ work experience in human service organizations or community leadership.</li>
<li>Community problem-solving, agency and community relations, financial management, and fundraising experience preferred.</li>
<li>High proficiency in oral and written communication and excellent interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in MS Office/Teams; SCRM experience preferred.</li>

Director, Eastern Area

In this leadership position on the Community Impact team, the Director, Impact will directly support United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s (UWGC) mission to build stronger economic mobility and well-being in Greater Cincinnati. We believe that transformational change is possible by working closely with community and partners to address the community conditions that hold families back from success. That’s why UWGC brings partners together, through key initiatives, to build networks aimed at creating positive change. The Director, Impact will play an important role in providing strategic leadership in UWGC’s efforts to build strong impact networks across Greater Cincinnati. Key Areas of Responsibility:
Strategic Leadership of UWGC’s Impact Networks:
<ul><li>Establish a shared framework for UWGC’s approach to building and growing impact networks in alignment with UWGC’s strategic framework, business plan and targeted milestones.</li>
<li>Deepen community-voice and leadership across networks, including establishing a framework for network leadership, community feedback and engagement, and partner relationship mapping.</li>
<li>Manage and coach impact team members who lead specific initiatives and impact networks, including supporting their professional development as content experts and community leaders.&nbsp;</li>
