 Job Title: HMIS Data Analyst Reporting To: Senior Manager, HMIS 

 Department: HMIS Position: Full-time/NON-EXEMPT 

 
Purpose of Position 
Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is a is a web-based data system which collects homeless 
services and related data from shelters, supportive service providers, and public agencies working to serve 
homeless and at-risk clients in Orange County. Its purpose is to ascertain an unduplicated count of people 
experiencing homelessness in Orange County, track their progress through the system of care into self-sufficiency, 
coordinate service delivery, and provide accurate aggregate data regarding sub-populations. The successful 
candidate will have a strong aptitude for providing technical support to non-technical database users, databases, 
and a keen interest in analyzing and interpreting data including writing and running reports. Under the direction 
of the HMIS Senior Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading HMIS training activities, 
contributing content to monthly HMIS user meetings, compiling monthly performance reports using HMIS data, 
participating in the completion of several HUD reports throughout the year, and providing general support to HMIS 
participating agencies 
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 

 • Serves as 2nd tier technical support to HMIS agencies to ensure appropriate use of system 
 • Supports the ongoing development of HMIS training and education materials, including the development 

of new and maintenance of existing training materials, as well as conducting training in webinar format 
 • Participate in agency audit process, including maintenance of materials, training staff, performing audits, 

tracking results and following up with agencies 
 • Compiles monthly performance reports using HMIS data including managing the data quality correction 

process, analyzing final data for performance evaluation, and creating a report using performance findings 
that are easy for non-technical audiences to understand 

 • Completes agency and project set-up in HMIS as needed 
 • Participates in the completion of annual Point in Time Count (PIT) and Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and 

Longitudinal Systems Analysis Report (LSA) reporting to HUD; assist with other reports as needed 
 • Ongoing support including system monitoring and testing, problem diagnosis and resolution, and updates 

to HMIS 
 • Provides content for monthly HMIS user meetings to address appropriate system use, recommend system 

improvements, facilitate information sharing and identify best practices 
 • Maintains quality, accessibility, and functionality of HMIS by keeping up to date with release notes and 

other documentation from the HMIS vendor and HUD. 
 • Provides data as requested by HMIS participants, the CoC Lead, and the CoC Board 
 • Produces and analyzes HMIS usage and audit reports; create ad hoc reports on request 
 • Creates education documentation on the use of HMIS and HUD policy for a non-technical audience as 

needed

 Job Title: Financial Education Specialist Reporting To: Program Manager, United For Financial Security 

 Department: United for Financial Security Position: Full-time/NON-EXEMPT 
 
Orange County United Way seeks an experienced, bilingual (English and Spanish) Financial Education 
Specialist to provide support to the Sparkpoint OC team by conducting outreach, client recruitment, 
facilitating trainings, teaching financial literacy classes, and data entry. 
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Financial Education Specialist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 

 • Facilitate and teach financial literacy workshops in English and Spanish 
 • Conduct orientations and outreach events to meet program enrollment and attendee goals 
 • Create presentation content for workshops 
 • Partner with community organizations to schedule and facilitate workshops 
 • Represent Orange County United Way at community events and resource fairs 
 • Manage referral and enrollment process to ensure timely response and appropriate tracking 
 • Work with internal departments to develop marketing materials for distribution 
 • Assist with all administrative responsibilities including: scheduling meetings, managing Outlook 

calendar, handle client communications, etc. 
 • Provide quality customer service to all program participants and partners

 • Complete reports as needed as directed by the Program Manager

Required Skills and Experience

 • Ability to pass a Tax Law Certification exam during tax season (training provided)

Financial Education Specialist

<h2>The Principal Gifts Officer (PGO) is a key member of the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Office of Development. The PGO will adhere to internal policies and best practices related to Major Gift and Multi-Year giving portfolio management and fundraising. JOB SUMMARY The UWSA Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is an experienced financial leader responsible for administrative service departments that include accounting, pledge processing and collections, grants accounting and reporting, information services, and human resources. &nbsp;The CFO directs all areas of internal and external financial reporting and budgeting for UWSA and acts as the staff liaison to the Audit Committee, Finance Committee, and the Diversity and Human Resources Committee. Emerging Leaders membership is open to young professionals, aged 21 to 45, who support the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County by making an annual minimum gift of $250. Members of Emerging Leaders experience firsthand the difference they make, impacting lives and creating lasting change here in our local community. Current membership exceeds 1,600 members, contributing over $1.8M to fuel the work of United Way’s work in the community.The Manager will establish, grow, and strengthen relationships with employers and internal influencers to maximize Emerging Leaders, corporate, employee, and individual giving. Responsibilities include development and execution of a strategic membership retention and growth plan, marketing plan in coordination with the marketing team, corporate engagement plan, individual giving plan, producing Emerging Leaders events, creating Emerging Leaders content, and staffing an Advisory committee of approximately 20 volunteers. &nbsp;PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;In conjunction with supervisor and volunteers, develop, execute, and support the strategic plan and goals of the Emerging Leaders, in alignment with United Way, and provide thought leadership to move the work forward. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Community Impact, Administration and Resource Development to grow the program and offer young professionals' meaningful ways to engage with the community and United Way. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develop and direct the implementation of all aspects of the Emerging Leaders including strategies focused on solicitation, retention, and cultivation of membership.&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Collect, analyze, and present Emerging Leaders data both internally and externally. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develop and implement recognition and engagement plans for Emerging Leaders membership.&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Collaborate with other resource development staff in acquiring new members in and out of the workplace.&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Plan and execute a range of events to drive acquisition of new Emerging Leaders and to convert existing donors to Emerging Leaders. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Communicate clearly, regularly, and effectively with Emerging Leaders Advisory Committee, Subcommittees, and with the entire body of members, as feasible, to build coordination, teamwork, enthusiasm, and a sense of common purpose.&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Staff the Emerging Leaders and actively engage volunteers to retain and grow the membership group. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Build and manage the annual Emerging Leaders budget – including events. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develop, plan, and implement strategic, data-driven, branded, mission-focused Emerging Leaders events that recognize, steward, and further cultivate current donors, volunteers, and prospects, increasing their engagement with the organization impact councils. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work in coordination with the Marketing Event Manager to handle details for Emerging Leaders events, from planning to executing and to event close-out; conduct pre- and post-event evaluations and outcome reports. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work in conjunction with the Resource Development team to identify potential donors and solicit donations where appropriate. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Conduct personal visits utilizing the Consultative Engagement strategies to facilitate the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts from current and/or prospective donors. &nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Make presentations to the community about Emerging Leaders.&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Willingly accept other ancillary or related assignments that will enhance the effectiveness of the organization. &nbsp;EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A minimum of two to four years of fundraising experience or sales with demonstrated success cultivating a donor base or bringing individuals together. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrated capability to identify, cultivate and solicit gifts from individuals, corporations and private foundations preferred. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of and experience with the San Antonio and Bexar County philanthropic community desired. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with CRM/database management preferred. •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience in using virtual platforms for presentations and/or setting up virtual meetings. &nbsp;KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp;
