Position Summary

The campaign strategist is a full-time, salaried position, reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer. This team member is responsible for developing and executing strategies to strengthen Brown County United Way’s diverse revenue streams. They will develop relationships with workplace and community partners to achieve fundraising success.

Qualities and Qualifications

The ideal team member believes passionately in improving the quality of life for everyone in Brown County; can work autonomously and in coordination with others; is highly organized, flexible, and can effectively multitask; has excellent oral and written communication skills. A bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in fundraising or relationship development is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Associate Director of Philanthropy, shall:

  • Plan and execute successful workplace giving campaigns with Brown County United Way’s local corporate partners
  • Develop and distribute campaign materials such as posters, flyers, fundraising e-mails, and newsletters
  • Represent Brown County United Way at workplace fundraising events and share impactful messages to attract and retain workplace givers
  • Provide logistical support and strategic guidance to workplace campaign coordinators for successful workplace fundraising
  • In partnership with the Information Systems Strategist, deploy e-pledge giving opportunities to support successful online giving
  • Steward relationships with workplace donors to deepen their involvement with Brown County United Way
  • Thank donors and campaign coordinators for their support
  • Recruit workplace givers to become volunteers, advocates, or individual givers
  • Network throughout the community to develop strong relationships that support peer-to-peer fundraising and advocacy
  • Grow community partnerships with local businesses
  • Develop creative partnerships in which local businesses can support community impact through in-kind donations, promotions, fundraising, or sponsorships
  • Lead loaned executives and volunteers in soliciting support and developing a network of community resources to aid in fundraising success
  • Assist in the development of diverse revenue streams for overall fundraising success
  • Keep detailed records of campaign activities and file them appropriately in CRM software
  • Assist in soliciting corporate gifts, sponsorships, and other engagement opportunities with workplace partners
  • Collaborate to develop additional fundraising strategies

Work Environment
