<h2>POSITION OVERVIEW:</h2>The United Way of Massachusetts Bay (UWMB) seeks a proven, effective fundraising leader who will champion our organization's work building stronger, more equitable communities across the region. Reporting to and partnering with the CEO, the Chief Development Officer (CDO) will lead a robust effort to increase and diversify revenue and raise $50 million annually to meet the organization's operational goals and community investments. The ideal leader will bring extensive senior-level fundraising experience and a demonstrated track record of success in driving significant philanthropic outcomes. Equally important, this leader will be hands-on, ready to engage in the day-to-day work required to build and sustain a high-performing development function within an organization of this scale.The CDO builds robust relationships working closely with the board, volunteers, colleagues, and constituents to articulate and achieve ambitious goals. The Fundraising Data and Administrative Coordinator supports business needs with a strong 

focus on data integrity, donor systems management, and campaign operations (75%), while also

POSITION DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

Data &amp; System Support (75%) 

ï· Serve as the primary Andar administrator, providing expert-level guidance, troubleshooting, 

and training to internal staff on key database functions. 

ï· Oversee data quality and conduct regular audits, clean-up projects, and reconciliations 

with Finance to ensure campaign and donor records are accurate. 

ï· Manage donor data flow across third-party platforms, i.e. GiveSmart; maintain and 

segment mailing lists, ensuring alignment with communication strategy. 

ï· Build and execute complex queries to support campaign segmentation, reporting, and 

strategy. 

ï· Lead and support ePledge deployment, troubleshooting issues for workplace campaign 

champions and donors, and serving as a liaison with App Support Services. 

ï· Collaborate with Finance to manage donation records, adjustments, reconciliations, and 

annual audit preparation. 

ï· Execute direct mail and digital campaigns in collaboration with organizational strategy, 

ensuring timing, list accuracy, and technical execution. 

ï· Develop and maintain accurate donor and constituent records, including interaction 

histories and event participation data. 


Administrative Support (25%) 

ï· Provide calendar management, meeting scheduling, and coordination of logistics for 

internal and external stakeholders. 

ï· Manage campaign materials inventory, reordering, and logistics for distribution. 

ï· Support event logistics, donor mailings, and routine data updates resulting from donor 

communications. 

ï· Coordinate scheduling, prepare internal reports and dashboards, and assist in special 

projects related to fundraising and engagement. 

ï· Serve as a point of contact for routine inquiries, redirecting or escalating as appropriate. 


Flexibility 

ï· UWFC is evolving with our changing external environment. Flexibility and adaptability are 

key attributes for this position. This position requires in-office work a minimum of 4 days 

per week. 

ï· A willingness to take on additional duties to ensure the success of the team is essential. 

ï· Occasional local travel may be required with some events/tasks outside of traditional work

Internally, this position works closely with the Community Impact team to support the implementation of meaningful volunteer engagement opportunities for each affinity group, inspiring deeper connection to the mission and programs of United Way NCA.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;The Donor Engagement Senior Manager/Individual Giving Officer will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and the entire development/fundraising team to oversee:Mid-level Giving<ul><li>Manage a portfolio of approximately two hundred (200) mid-level donors at the $1,000 - $9,999 level, taking them through the annual moves management cycle of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.</li><li>Inspire full giving participation from affinity group members.&nbsp;</li><li>Create annual cultivation and stewardship plans for affinity group members, proactively striving to move mid-level givers to the major giving pipeline.&nbsp;</li></ul>Affinity Groups<ul><li>Oversee, recruit, and engage members of the Regional Advisory Council, Women United, and NextGen United.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage leadership committees of each group and serve as the primary staff member working with the leadership of each group.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate and manage affiliated events to ensure successful development and execution.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate clearly, regularly, and effectively with members of each affinity group, to build coordination, teamwork, enthusiasm, and a sense of common purpose.</li><li>Develop a calendar of annual volunteer opportunities to connect each affinity group to the programs and services of United Way NCA.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): &nbsp; All front-line fundraisers at United Way NCA are expected to meet annual KPIs. The Donor Engagement Senior Manager/Individual Giving Officers’ performance is measured annually by:<ul><li>Face-to-face meetings and presentations,</li><li>Moves actions completed,</li><li>Solicitations,</li><li>Gifts closed,</li><li>Total dollars raised,</li><li>Number of new, retained, and upgraded donors, and</li><li>Collaborative gifts closed.</li></ul>Job Requirements:&nbsp;Solid Educational Background and Experience -&nbsp;Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience is required. Minimum five (5) years of individual giving fundraising experience with a proven track record of managing a portfolio of donors contributing in the $1,000 to $9,999 giving range. Proven experience working with volunteer leadership groups, managing an annual calendar of fundraising and donor engagement.Drives Revenue &amp; Impact –&nbsp;Results driven, with a relentless focus on gaining resources to support United Way’s mission and community impact focused strategic objectives. Demonstrated entrepreneurial ability to develop alliances and coordinate shared interests of all parties. Excellent problem-solving skills designed to meet the challenges of the organization. Possess ability to meet predetermined revenue goals.&nbsp;Strategic Relationship Building –&nbsp;People person with a keen knack for developing, maintaining, and deepening strategic relationships that generate the resources that support United Way’s mission. Strong knowledge of fundraising and desire to learn. Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of individual donors at the five- and six-figure levels. The ability to develop strong personal relationships through identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
