POSITION SUMMARY&nbsp;(Eligible for Hybrid/ 3 days in office - Alexandria, VA)The Community Outreach Manager, (GGRF) will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, execution, and monitoring of community engagement activities in partnership with local United Ways as part of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund grant and Power Forward Communities Coalition. Administrative &amp; Financial Management 
 • Coordinates, gathers, and support internal staff and consultants when needed to 

develop successful proposals and investment opportunities. 
 • Create, read, and understand budgets and other financial reports, including drawing

coordinated responses. One of our key action steps was the establishment of the “Hope &amp; 
Healing Coalition”, to address community violence. 
 
A “coalition” is a union of people and organizations working to influence outcomes on a specific 
problem. Coalitions are useful for accomplishing a broad range of goals that reach beyond the 
capacity of any individual member organization. These goals range from information sharing to 
coordination of services, from community education to advocacy for major environmental or 
policy (regulatory) changes. Working closely under the guidance of the Director of Healthy 
Communities, The Hope &amp; Healing Coalition Coordinator will liaise with Coalition members and 
grantees to offer continuous support and put them on a path to success, which has the following 
stages: (1) “Before You Build It”; (2) “Build It”; (3) “Make It Work”; and (4) “Sustain It”.

partnerships and participation on committees and coalitions. 

 • Attend meetings; record, prepare, and distribute minutes in support of all Hope and 
Healing Coalition, and other health related initiatives and programs. 

 • Conduct pre-post surveys as needed. 
 
Community Collaboration 

 • Convene Hope and Healing coalition, disseminating materials prior to meetings, and 
communicating with coalition members between meetings. 

 • Refine the coalition’s purpose, vision, and mission, after receiving stakeholder

 • Assist coalition members with developing and monitoring logic models, data analysis, 
reports, and timelines related to programs and funding.

 • Understand the account and company setup steps and maintain a general knowledge of the major 
areas of QuickBooks Desktop application.

 • Create and maintain vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and any other 

information required. 
 
Job Resposibilities: 
 

 • Assist with bills and cash disbursement to clients and partners 
 • Manage bills received from vendors 
 • Prepare 1099’s for vendors 
 • Process payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, coding (using GL codes), 

verifying, and reconciling invoices. 
 • Ensure that all company procedures, approval processes, and internal controls related to 

accounts payable are followed 
 • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports 
 • Prepare A/P checks and ACH batches 
 • Verifiy vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statement and related transactions 
 • Scan and maintain A/P records 
 • Make bank deposits, order checks, verify bank drafts and charges, and resolve bank errors 
 • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 


 
Qualifications: 
 

 • Excellent knowledge of computers and the Internet – work fluently with Microsoft Office, Outlook, 
Windows operating systems, and PCs. 

 • Ability and aptitude for working with numerical data. 
 • Attention to detail 
 • Solid understanding of QuickBooks Desktop 
 • Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. 
 • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
