The 211 Care Coordinator assists residents in connecting to social service support by assessing needs and making referrals within a network of partnering organizations. The VITA Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of the VITA program which provides free tax services for households that meet eligibility requirements.<a href="#_msocom_1">[DM1]</a> <a href="#_msocom_2">[MP2]</a> Key Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Vice President of Community Impact, the VITA Program Manager will assist in developing, implementing, and reporting on vital components of the VITA program. Candidate must have strong professional, interpersonal, project management and communication skills. Focus of responsibilities will include (and are not limited to): <ul><li>Project management of marketing and communication activities and collateral </li><li>Assist in volunteer recruitment, training, and retention<a href="#_msocom_3">[DM3]</a> <a href="#_msocom_4">[MP4]</a> </li><li>Planning and implementation of special events, such as Mega Tax Days </li><li>Coordination and implementation of outreach and education activities </li><li>Execute in-person outreach in assigned counties, engaging prospective partners, and building awareness of Financial Stability goals and services </li><li>Complete VITA training and certification in accordance with IRS and United Way of the Plains requirements </li><li>Grant writing, grant reporting</li></ul>Minimum requirements and qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Summary:The United Way of the Plains 211 Resource Navigation Center serves as a critical tool for Kansas residents in 98 counties across the state, seeking resources in their time of need.  The 211 Call Specialist is United Way’s front-line representative to the public, handling requests that can range from providing immediate simple information to cases of complex social problems, requiring research, advocacy, and crisis intervention. Our Call Specialists have both individual and shared responsibility and accountability for delivering quality, professional help to our neighbors in need.This full-time position is made for a person with a passion for helping people find the best resources in their community in their time of crisis and uncertainty.
