Development Officer (CDO) is to increase revenue in a strategic manner that drives the mission

of fundraising strategies that ensure organizational capacity to deliver on the ambitious goals of 

our strategic plan. The CDO ensures the effective execution and growth of the organization’s 

revenue generation through the engagement of donors and volunteers and the coordination of

work collaboratively with the Chief Marketing Officer who will lead planning and execution of 

all major events. 
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 

1. Leads the organization’s revenue generation efforts. Responsible for generating a 

long-term strategic growth vision and developing and executing Board of Directors 

strategic plan in relation to revenue generation. The CDO is responsible for:

5.Accountable for revenue growth on an annual and multi-year basis. 


6. Leads the organization’s efforts to maintain an effective and efficient donor database. 


 7. Ensures the organization maintains proper fundraising ethics. 


 8. Works closely with the workplace giving team to recruit, train, inspire and manage 

 workplace volunteers. 


 9. In coordination with the Leadership Team, is an integral part of the organization’s

This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our donor database and financial records.&nbsp;Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable &amp; Campaign Processing<ul><li>Receive, record, and process all donor pledges, payments, designations and campaign receipts accurately in Andar.</li><li>Prepare and verify daily bank deposits and maintain documentation for all cash/check receipts.</li><li>Audit campaign envelopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.</li><li>Import and reconcile credit card transactions and other campaign payments.</li><li>Set up recurring credit card subscriptions and follow up on declined transactions.</li><li>Prepare and distribute tax receipts, invoices, and pledge reminders (direct and payroll).</li><li>Maintain data quality and consistency within Andar CRM.</li><li>Review, file, and maintain donor pledges (physical and electronic) in accordance with document retention policy.</li></ul>Donor &amp; Partner Communication<ul><li>Serve as a point of contact for donors, agencies, company representatives, and internal Resource Development staff regarding pledge and payment inquiries.</li><li>Respond to questions submitted via phone, email, or Agency Portal in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>Collaborate with the Community Impact and Resource Development teams to ensure accurate donor and grant data processing.</li></ul>Financial &amp; Team Support<ul><li>Support monthly pledge reconciliations and year-end closeout.</li><li>Help analyze donor accounts for collections and coordinate resolution efforts.</li><li>Support the annual budget process by gathering financial data and reports.</li><li>Assist in training seasonal or temporary staff on campaign envelope processing.</li><li>Organizational Participation</li><li>Uphold financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to achieve department and organizational goals.</li><li>Actively contribute to a positive and mission-driven team culture.<ul><li>Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.</li></ul></li></ul>What We’re Looking ForRequired:<ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting support, or financial data entry.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, data sorting, lookups).</li><li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>Desired:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.</li><li>Experience working in a nonprofit or donor-driven organization.</li><li>Familiarity with Andar or other donor management/CRM systems and Microsoft CRM.</li><li>Experience with high-volume data processing, reconciliations, or collections follow-up.</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time, hourly role with a salary range of $23-26 per hour.Benefits include:&nbsp;• Medical, dental, and vision coverage&nbsp;• 403(b) retirement savings plan with employer match&nbsp;• Generous PTO and holiday schedule&nbsp;• Professional development and continuing education opportunities&nbsp;Ready to Make an Impact?
