POSITION SUMMARY: 


The Fundraising Data and Administrative Coordinator supports business needs with a strong 

focus on data integrity, donor systems management, and campaign operations (75%), while also 

providing essential administrative support to leadership and fundraising initiatives (25%). This role 

is critical in managing and optimizing platforms such as Andar (inc. ePledge) and GiveSmart to 

support electronic giving, data reporting, donor engagement, and internal coordination.

POSITION DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

Data &amp; System Support (75%) 

ï· Serve as the primary Andar administrator, providing expert-level guidance, troubleshooting, 

and training to internal staff on key database functions. 

ï· Oversee data quality and conduct regular audits, clean-up projects, and reconciliations 

with Finance to ensure campaign and donor records are accurate. 

ï· Manage donor data flow across third-party platforms, i.e. GiveSmart; maintain and 

segment mailing lists, ensuring alignment with communication strategy. 

ï· Build and execute complex queries to support campaign segmentation, reporting, and 

strategy. 

ï· Lead and support ePledge deployment, troubleshooting issues for workplace campaign 

champions and donors, and serving as a liaison with App Support Services. 

ï· Collaborate with Finance to manage donation records, adjustments, reconciliations, and 

annual audit preparation. 

ï· Execute direct mail and digital campaigns in collaboration with organizational strategy, 

ensuring timing, list accuracy, and technical execution. 

ï· Develop and maintain accurate donor and constituent records, including interaction 

histories and event participation data. 


Administrative Support (25%) 

ï· Provide calendar management, meeting scheduling, and coordination of logistics for 

internal and external stakeholders. 

ï· Manage campaign materials inventory, reordering, and logistics for distribution. 

ï· Support event logistics, donor mailings, and routine data updates resulting from donor 

communications. 

ï· Coordinate scheduling, prepare internal reports and dashboards, and assist in special 

projects related to fundraising and engagement. 

ï· Serve as a point of contact for routine inquiries, redirecting or escalating as appropriate. 


Flexibility 

ï· UWFC is evolving with our changing external environment. Flexibility and adaptability are 

key attributes for this position. This position requires in-office work a minimum of 4 days

Key initiatives include, but are not limited to, the annual campaign, individual philanthropy, volunteerism, and special initiatives that support the mission of the organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Sets vision and direction for individual and corporate philanthropy for United Way of the Midlands.&nbsp; Establishes data-driven, measurable goals and oversees strategies to achieve or exceed these goals.</li><li>Consistently and proactively seeks out new and innovative ways to engage individual, corporate and workplace donors.&nbsp;</li><li>Directs a team focused on philanthropy through a variety of lenses. Provides coaching, mentorship, and identifies professional development opportunities for this dynamic team.&nbsp;</li><li>Engages Board members to be ambassadors for UWM’s fundraising efforts; educates volunteer leaders and committees to understand and advocate for UWM’s impactful work.</li><li>Ensures there is a process and accountability in place for maintaining donor and prospect records. Lead the team in analyzing donor data to improve workplace campaigns and individual giving.</li><li>Advances organizational and staff development with major gifts, planned gifts, leadership giving and generation segmentation marketing to ensure the future of the organization's fundraising efforts.</li><li>Works with the UWM Community Impact team to identify and solicit sources of revenue for specific programs and/or initiatives.</li><li>Stays abreast of resource development trends, giving patterns and best practices; is the subject matter expert for the organization and guides the RD team and UWM in implementing best practices as appropriate for this community, its needs and our donors.</li><li>Manages a small number of significant accounts.</li><li>Is a visible leader in the community; represents UWM as a credible and passionate expert at local, regional and national meetings.</li></ul>REQUIRED &amp; PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIESQualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree required</li><li>Minimum of seven years in a revenue generation/revenue production environment with an understanding of customer and/or donor relationship development, including management of such a function; fundraising experience with emphasis on annual campaign preferred; experience with planned giving or major gifts is beneficial.</li><li>Proven ability to recruit, lead, motivate and work with dynamic team to meet and exceed goals.</li><li>Significant experience with staff supervision and management; supervision and management of volunteers is preferred.</li><li>Advanced MS Office skills and CRM systems; knowledge of fundraising software and its application is preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of the Midlands community, particularly from a philanthropic/charitable giving perspective.</li><li>Knowledge of United Way national resource development practices preferred.</li></ul>Competencies<ul><li>Creative thinker around systems and processes</li><li>Goal-oriented and accountable</li><li>Inspires teams to work together to achieve/exceed shared goals</li><li>Understands customer/donor development and conversion cycles</li><li>Leverages data in decision making</li><li>Understands the importance of volunteerism as a growth engine</li><li>Inspiring storyteller</li></ul>
