Overall Purpose of this Role: The Individual Giving Manager is a frontline fundraising position responsible for creating and implementing strategies with donors who have a history of or capacity to make annual gifts ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. This role will serve as an internal liaison within the Resource Development department, partnering with colleagues to determine best strategies for effective solicitation and stewardship of current and prospective donors. RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (INDIVIDUAL GIVING)

Overall Purpose of this Role:      The Resource Development Manager manages investments in HFUW through year-round management of individual and business account portfolios. The Resource Development Manager is responsible for maintaining and building new and existing partnerships to ensure ongoing donor revenue, company gifts, and sponsorships to generate new revenue for the organization. Responsible for ongoing cultivation through engagement activities, preparing projections, developing account plans, updating forecasts and recording donor activity. Ensure timely recording and recognition of donor gifts. Continuously identify trends and opportunities to maximize revenue and increase donor loyalty. While each position is measured on individual outputs, collaboration and coordination are critical elements of Donor and Volunteer Engagement where success is realized by the overall organizational impact goals resulting from resources raised by the department. RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT)

This position is a hybrid role that requires a minimum of two days per week in the office located in Orlando, FL.  OVERALL PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE: Responsible for curating, developing, researching, writing, and disseminating communications for a variety of communication and public relations efforts including media releases, blogs, newsletters, feature stories, social media posts, video scripts, website content, and marketing collateral for Heart of Florida United Way and its programs. This position plays a key role in strategic communications that help advance Heart of Florida United Way’s mission and convey core values to a variety of audiences that engage with HFUW directly and indirectly. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Writing<ul><li>Act as the primary copywriter for the organization providing copy for all communications ranging from marketing collateral, email newsletters, social media content, scripts, press releases, blogs, etc.</li><li>Display technical writing expertise based on the audience, media, tone, etc. of each piece. COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE: Under the general supervision of the Senior Vice President, Technology, the Manager, Data Integrity is responsible for database administration, ensuring we maintain data integrity between multiple database systems. POSITION SUMMARY Supervise 211 and Crisis Services Specialists and provide individuals with suicide intervention, safety planning, crisis de-escalation, problem solving, brief assessment and appropriate social service referrals within a contact center environment. MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: 


PHILANTHROPY 

Donor Networks – 50% 

ï· Manage and lead donor networks, Tocqueville, Leadership, United Way Young 
Leaders Society, and RISE: 

o Establish and maintain staff support at all levels of leadership involvement 
(Advisory Board, Planning Committee(s), etc.). 

o Provide staff leadership and/or support for year-round engagement and 
activity plan:

Philanthropy – 25% 

ï· Support Director of Philanthropy’s recruitment of new donors. 

ï· Assist to implement strategies that meet goals within workplace giving campaigns 
and year-round corporate engagement needs. 

ï· Assist in gathering and analyzing donor data and metrics related to engagement 
to determine the best methods of outreach as well as areas of impact of most 
interest for current and potential donors. Utilize findings to customize and tailor 
messaging and engagement opportunities. 

ï· Conduct presentations to employees, key executives, and other special interest 

groups. 

ï· Assist with annual Appreciation Luncheon to solicit table sales from corporate 
donors, ensuring corporate donors are appropriately acknowledged and 
coordinating thank-you’ s and appreciation gifts. 

Grant Research and Coordination – 25% 

ï· Research and identify grant opportunities that align with UWEPC’s mission, 
initiatives and impact programs. 

ï· Works with leadership team to develop a thorough understanding of 
organizational priorities and develop and implement an annual grants strategy to 
secure new and maintain renewable grant funding. 

ï· Conduct the full range of activities required to prepare and submit timely and 
compelling grant proposals/applications. 

ï· Works and collaborates with key staff to ensure that essential elements of the 
grant project are gathered and communicated in documents. 

ï· Establishes and maintains relationships with public and private funders. 


QUALIFICATIONS—KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Bachelor’s degree in subjects related to public relations, communications, marketing, or 
social services, plus five years of volunteer or work experience and/or an equivalent 
combination of education and experience related to the duties of the position. 

Knowledge of the non-profit sector is a plus. 

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Experience serving on a board of directors is a plus.

This position requires travel throughout the region as the Kynect Resource Specialist seeks to establish business-to-business relationships by networking with community providers, leading quarterly showcases, and creating a referral network where clients are referred by UWBG 211 navigators to community partners in their area. The Resource Specialist will also spend time making outbound calls to collect resource information, establish community relationships, and follow up with clients who are seeking resource services in their area. This is a remote position for residents in Central, KY. This position will provide leadership and coordination to create and refine processes that support students to achieve and maintain grade-level reading and math benchmarks by working closely with school partners to scale effective intervention practices through volunteers, third-party partnerships, and other means. This position will also support the development and implementation of in-school and out-of-school strategies to foster student growth in reading and math through cross-sector collaboration.Summary of Work: The Impact Manager’s core function is to facilitate impactful partnerships that develop solutions capable of improving the lives of large numbers of students rather than focusing on a single program. This requires a unique individual who has the adaptive skill set to work across sectors and political perspectives. Competencies in results-based accountability, project management, continuous improvement, and adaptive leadership are essential in this role. Facilitating collaborative outcomes is not for everyone. We seek a capable, energetic, results-focused team member who is comfortable with the ambiguity of the development process with partners and ready to take this work to the next level.Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Supervise the Community Literacy initiative and position.</li><li>Serve as the ‘backbone staff’ of reading and math initiatives in Ogden School District (OSD), ensuring strategies are well aligned, monitored for impact, and built collaboratively with OSD’s Student Achievement Team and Executive Director.</li><li>Strategy Development and Project Management<ol><li>Work with OSD to create and track specific performance measures for interventions and activities to demonstrate their impact.</li><li>Work alongside research and evaluation partners to develop and implement data-driven processes to determine the effectiveness of strategies implemented.</li><li>Manage the Consistent Volunteer initiative to provide OSD elementary schools with regular community volunteers as reading or math tutors during the school day and in after-school settings.</li></ol></li><li>Manage partner relationships, and provide support and follow-up for initiatives that include but are not limited to the following: <ol><li>University of Utah Reading Clinic - reading intervention in OSD junior highs, elementary, after-schools, and summer programming, </li><li>Weber State University WALDO Reads - Federal Work-Study student tutors within OSD schools</li><li>Americorps STEM Action Center       -  Math Mentor positions in OSD elementary schools</li><li>My Hometown Ogden &amp; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - community volunteers and service missionaries in OSD schools</li><li>AVID Tutoring - High school students providing math tutoring in OSD junior highs</li><li>Support the development of community engagement efforts in the “Science of Reading” led by OSD Adult Education</li></ol></li><li>Attend and participate in other local, regional, and state-level meetings as requested.</li><li>Actively participate in work related to grant writing, fundraising, and sustainability initiatives with corporate, foundation, and government representatives, as well as individual donors.</li></ol>Position Competencies:<ol><li>Capable of both independent work and excellent team collaboration</li><li>Ability to adapt to a changing environment and different contexts</li><li>Comfortable working across sectors (e.g. business, nonprofit, etc.) and using different frameworks/terminology to participate in collaborative decision-making</li><li>Self-driven - Takes initiative to get work done without prompting</li><li>Assertive - Regularly approaches partners, starts conversations, &amp; follows up</li><li>Adaptive - Comfortable navigating when to be flexible with partners and when to encourage change or develop accountability</li><li>Validating - Able to listen to understand partners’ efforts or experience and adjust solutions appropriately</li><li>Possess a growth mindset and open to feedback</li><li>Approach challenges with both confidence and humility</li><li>Knows when to stop and analyze a situation for redirection </li><li>Ability to build and maintain results-driven partnerships</li><li>Public speaking to both large and small audiences</li><li>Friendly and professional communication skills across all mediums</li></ol>Position Requirements:<ol><li>Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of professional work experience in education, human services, or a related field</li><li>Excellent organizational skills (including task and time management)</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage several multi-faceted projects simultaneously with careful attention to detail and few mistakes</li><li>High standards of professional ethics and conduct</li><li>Demonstrated competency with cloud-based productivity tools and document management systems such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Google Drive).</li><li>Able to see both the details and the big picture</li></ol>Preferred Qualifications:<ol><li>3-5 years working as a K-6 teacher, intervention specialist, instructional coach, after-school manager, or related field</li><li>Bicultural/bilingual in English/Spanish</li><li>Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects</li><li>Experience with Results Based Accountability</li><li>Familiarity and history of service within the landscape of community development and social services networks in Ogden</li></ol>Wage: $52,000 - $57,000  based on experience and qualificationsLocation: Ogden, UT (with hybrid/remote option, as appropriate)Hours: Full-time, exempt.
