Expanded Learning Coordinator

The Assistant Director of Cole Society reports to the Sr. Director of Cole Society and Membership Giving. The Membership Giving team plays a key role in the Office of Development through planning and execution of individual engagement strategies and opportunities, inside and outside of the workplace.Following internal policies and best practices relating to portfolio management and fundraising, the ADCS will work collaboratively with multiple Development teams, and other UWGA staff, to build and manage a fluid portfolio of up to 150+ individuals currently giving at the Cole Society level of $1,000+. Scope of PositionThe&nbsp;Community Impact Manager will manage UWLC grantmaking processes, child care scholarships, and early literacy initiatives. The Manager will work directly with recipients of these programs and will be responsible for providing technical assistance and resource navigation. The Manager will implement strategies around program expansion, improvement, and community engagement. The Manager plays a central role in aligning grant strategy with UWLC’s broader impact agenda, supporting community-led decision-making, and cultivating collaborative, trust-based relationships with grantees and scholarship recipients. Additionally, the Manager facilitates community grantmaking processes and collaborates across departments to ensure data-driven program improvement, increased community engagement, and sustainable impact.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Grants Administration: Lead the full grantmaking lifecycle, including contract execution, budget and report monitoring, internal data tracking, and provide technical assistance to grantees.</li><li>Data and Evaluation: Manage the collection, analysis, and use of grant-related data to assess outcomes, support learning, and drive continuous improvement across programs and strategies.</li><li>Strategic Alignment and Partner Engagement: Coordinate grantmaking and partner engagement strategies to align with UWLC’s impact agenda, working closely with the Community Engagement Team and organizational leadership.</li><li>Communication and Facilitation: Facilitate community grantmaking processes and serve as the primary point of contact for community partners.</li><li>Community Partnerships and Trust Building: Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with community members and partners; elevate community voice to inform decisions and support power sharing in impact work.</li><li>Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to advance community impact efforts.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Grants Management Experience:&nbsp;Demonstrated experience in administering community-based grantmaking. Community engagement and/or relationship building experience is highly desired. Experience with child care systems, early literacy, or family financial stability work preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Language Skills:&nbsp;Fluency in both English and Spanish is a key asset for this role and central to&nbsp; success in this position. The role includes application management and technical support in both English and Spanish. An additional $1500 salary differential is provided for bilingual staff.</li><li>Commitment to Mission:&nbsp;Genuine passion for the non-profit sector and alignment with the organization's mission and values and committed to equity.&nbsp;</li><li>Project Management:&nbsp;Proficiency in overseeing grant and scholarship cycles from initiation to completion, expertise with full cycle of grantmaking and administrative processes. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with individuals and organizations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.&nbsp;</li><li>Team Collaboration:&nbsp;Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Supervisory experience is a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong Technology Proficiency:&nbsp;Experience in using grantmaking software applications and survey tools is highly preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint is expected (proficient in Excel).&nbsp;</li><li>Adaptability and Resourcefulness:&nbsp;Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new concepts, navigate complex systems, and proactively identify solutions using available resources.</li></ul>We welcome candidates with diverse professional and educational backgrounds.
