211 Kynect Resources Specialist (Part-time)

The part-time 211 Kynect Resources Specialist supports the implementation, utilization and ongoing operation of Kynect Resources in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United Way of Kentucky (UWKY), and United Way of Greater Cincinnati. The position is dedicated to Community Partner onboarding, technical assistance, referral coordination, platform utilization, outreach, public awareness, reporting and statewide coordination supporting successful implementation of Kynect Resources. Temporary support of 211 operations in Kentucky may occur during operational necessity and shall not materially impair fulfillment of Kynect Resources obligations.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Kynect Resources Implementation & Platform Utilization

  • Serve as a dedicated Kynect Resources representative supporting implementation and ongoing utilization.
  • Promote platform adoption and effective utilization among Community Partners and Kentucky residents.
  • Support statewide implementation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Community Partner Engagement, Onboarding & Technical Assistance

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and provide ongoing technical assistance to Community Partners.
  • Support referral workflows, platform navigation, referral acceptance and closure.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare, nonprofit, government and community organizations.

Resident Support & Referral Coordination

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered customer service.
  • Conduct needs assessments and connect residents to services through Kynect Resources and 211.
  • Monitor referrals, conduct follow-up, and document outcomes.

Data Quality, Reporting & Contract Compliance

  • Maintain accurate documentation and referral data.
  • Support reporting, audits, monitoring, and MOA compliance.
  • Prepare utilization and outcome reports.

Statewide Coordination, Outreach & Public Awareness

  • Participate in statewide meetings, trainings, outreach, and public awareness activities.
  • Represent United Way at community meetings, presentations, and engagement events.

Organizational Collaboration

  • Collaborate with United Way leadership, the Commonwealth and Community Partners.
  • Perform additional duties consistent with Kynect Resources contractual obligations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Human Services or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in the human services field, including social service interviewing, is desirable. Broad knowledge of human services and the Greater Cincinnati service network preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills. Knowledge of community resources. Effective and comprehensive computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and in group settings and build effective relationships with staff, administration, volunteers, agencies, and community members.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office and collaborative call center environment.
  • Extended periods of computer screen use.
  • Frequent local travel throughout assigned Kentucky counties.
  • Reliable personal transportation required.
  • Occasional remote evening and weekend work.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

SALARY: 21.50 per hour, 20 hours per week

FUNDING SOURCE / GRANT COMPLIANCE


This position is funded in whole or in part through the Kynect Resources Agreement administered by United Way of Kentucky (UWKY). The duties of this position are intended to fulfill the Kynect Resources Scope of Services under the applicable Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). Responsibilities may be modified as necessary to maintain compliance with grant requirements, contractual obligations, operational guidance, reporting requirements, or amendments issued by UWKY or the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Personnel assigned to this position shall remain primarily dedicated to Kynect Resources responsibilities, except for temporary operational support necessary to maintain 211 continuity of service for Kentucky residents.
