The Crisis &amp; 988 Specialist is responsible for providing excellent service to those accessing the service by applying the equivalent of reflective listening and motivational interviewing skills in the context of an electronic exchange. Crisis &amp; 988 Specialists have the special training and skills to interact via phone, chat and text to understand callers’ unique circumstances and needs, render immediate emotional support, provide options for ongoing support/treatment and follow up to ensure needs are being met. This position also requires the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with diverse and multi-cultural individuals, be non-judgmental, and respectful of the confidential nature of the job.Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:&nbsp;<ul><li>Complete required training.</li><li>Attend staff meetings, in-services, training sessions and conferences when appropriate to job responsibilities.</li><li>Participate in staff training activities to maintain the required annual training hours.</li><li>Keep Microsoft TEAMS open and check frequently. East team. United Way for nearly 100 years has brought together the financial resources of 
donors, the passion of community volunteers, the expertise of community partners, and the

The Resource Navigator Position is responsible for providing information, referral and 
prescreening for County specific programs. Exceptional customer service and accurate 
data recording is essential in this position, while acting in accordance with our values, 
vision, and mission. This position is part-time and fully remote but must be in the office 
for the 90-day introductory period for training. Must be flexible with the scheduled hours. 
Average hours are 20-25 hours per week. 

Responsibilities: 

 • Answering inbound phone calls in a timely manner. 
 • Assessing caller needs and facilitating appropriate referrals for families and individuals 

seeking health and human service information, including evaluating client eligibility 
using pre-determined screening criteria for a variety of specialized contracts 

 • Accessing the 211 database for resources and appropriately refer callers. 
 • Demonstrate proficiency in using call center software, computer hardware and 

telephone equipment 
 • Proficient in use of Text and Chat 
 • Provide information, referral and prescreening for callers from specific counties within 

the PA 211 East region who may be facing loss of their primary residence due to eviction. 

 
Qualifications: 

 • High School Diploma or GED 
 • Work experience in health and human services field a plus 
 • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus 
 • A Valid Driver’s License is required 
 • Clearances are required with relevance to the position 
 • Excellent communication and listening skills, empathetic and calm attitude

ABOUT CARE ACADEMY:&nbsp; CARE Academy was originally an elementary OST program operated by Billings Public Schools.&nbsp; United Way of Yellowstone County (UWYC) assumed responsibility of CARE Academy in the fall of 2009, and operates at five locations, serving between 300-350 students daily.&nbsp; CARE Academy offers Whole Day programs on most school holidays and PIR Days.&nbsp; CARE Academy also offers a summer program that serves between 70-80 students each summer. &nbsp;&nbsp;Laurel Public Schools CARE Academy locations are at West and Graff.&nbsp;
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ol><li>Work cooperatively and in conjunction with Program Director, Site Coordinator, Principals, teachers, parents and students.</li>
<li>Assist in implementing the activities offered to students.</li>
<li>Assist in tutoring CARE Academy students during homework help time.</li>
<li>Assist with distributing daily snacks to students.</li>
<li>Attend staff training opportunities provided for CARE Academy staff and volunteers.</li>
<li>Maintain standards of students behavior needed to achieve a safe and positive climate in the before and after school program for students and staff.</li>
<li>Communicate clearly and regularly with the Director regarding all aspects of the program.</li>
<li>Greet and assist all students, parents, staff, and visitors.</li>

POSITION TITLE: Team UP AmeriCorps Coordinator

POSITION OBJECTIVE: 
	The Team UP AmeriCorps Coordinator, under direct supervision of the AmeriCorps Director, supports all programmatic aspects of Team UP AmeriCorps. This includes program planning, member management, communication/outreach, grant compliance, host site support, and data/program reporting. The AmeriCorps Coordinator will be required to build upon and create positive relationships with all entities involved with the program: members, site supervisors, community partners, funders, host sites, and the communities served.
INTRODUCTION TO Team UP AmeriCorps: 
	Led by the United Way of Southwest Colorado (UWSC), Team UP AmeriCorps places AmeriCorps State &amp; National (ASN) members directly at local non-profits, schools, and government agencies to expand or implement new programs and projects. Members serve for a 12-month term of National Service to improve outcomes in Education, Economic Opportunity, and Healthy Futures. Team UP AmeriCorps provides hand-on experience and opportunities for training and professional development to its members while supporting communities in Southwest Colorado. Team UP AmeriCorps is currently in its fifth year of programming with plans to continue and expand in years to come. Members serve within the UWSC’s five-county region: Archuleta, La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores, and San Juan counties.
