Leadership Societies Manager

Reporting to the SVP of Revenue, the Senior Director of Cole Society and Membership Giving serves as a key member of the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Office of Development.&nbsp; Following internal policies and best practices relating to giving society management and fundraising, the SDCSMG will work collaboratively with multiple Development Teams, and other UWGA staff.&nbsp; The SDCSMG will provide direction, planning and implementation of strategies to drive overall year-over-year net growth in aggregate revenue and membership for the Cole Society, and will coordinate with SVP of Revenue, and Marketing Team to build and develop a membership giving program as well as manage the Annual Fund giving campaign and strategic plan while maintaining and building superior donor relationships and meeting measurable goals.&nbsp; Additionally, the SDCSMG will build and manage a fluid portfolio of prospects responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewardship of donor prospects capable of supporting at the $1,000 Cole Society level with growth potential to give at the Tocqueville Society level of $10,000 and above within a dynamic, fast-paced fundraising environment.&nbsp;The position will work closely with colleagues across departments, volunteers, boards, community leaders and a variety of others, and must be collaborative, professional, innovative, responsible and more while maintaining a strong work ethic and attention to detail.&nbsp; It is also essential that the SDCSMG be well versed in giving society management, fundraising strategy, the art and science of individual fundraising, and have significant experience in closing individual gifts, collaborating with others to close gifts, and managing individual portfolios. The Associate Director of Corporate Relations reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Relations. The Corporate Relations Team within the Office of Development serves as the core unit in driving deepened engagement and increased revenue for the Child Well-Being Mission Fund from key corporate partners. Its primary objective is to build relationships with corporate partners and individual donors that will result in increased corporate and individual investments for UWGA programs, initiatives, sponsorships, and other engagement opportunities. The team is responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders across the corporate landscape with a goal to make United Way their philanthropic partner of choice. The team collaborates with external partners, which include donors, volunteers and corporate leaders. Internally the team collaborates across all departments within the organization.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Corporate Relations (ADCR)&nbsp;is a full-time position responsible for building and strengthening&nbsp;relationships in a small number of our most vital corporate partners through direct support of the Senior Director of Corporate Relations. In addition, the ADCR will manages a portfolio of companies responsible for fundraising and engagement including building and growing relationships with decision-makers and C-suite leaders, demonstrating initiative and development expertise as part of the United Way of Greater Atlanta team.

Key&nbsp;Responsibilities

<ul><li>Manage account portfolio focused on raising resources and exceeding goals including planning and implementation of workplace campaigns and year-round engagement strategies in portfolio.</li>
<li>Prepare clear and concise objectives and materials for each donor visit.</li>
<li>Strategic engagement of companies year-round through creation and implementation of specific donor/corporate engagement strategies in partnership with the Community Engagement and/or Volunteerism departments.</li>
<li>Solicit and secure corporate gifts in support of UWGA’s Child Well-Being Agenda</li>
<li>Create a donor engagement strategy targeted at returning, new, lapsing, and lapsed donors.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and focus on updating campaign and individual donor information in CRM including, but not limited to, corporate contact(s), employee count, UWGA involvement, company processing information, engagement practices, campaign start/end dates, etc.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Development Operations team and Pledge Processing as necessary to ensure processed accounts reflect audit paperwork and envelopes are audited completely and correctly and project accurately.</li>
<li>Exceed yearly revenue and metric-driven goals (visits, solicitations, etc.).</li>
<li>Promote collaboration, recognizing our shared goals, and regularly collaborate with colleagues within and outside of the Office of Development.</li>

STATEMENT OF THE JOB:
This role is accountable for achieving fundraising goals within a portfolio of corporate campaign accounts, individual donors of all levels, including major gifts, and other revenue sources, utilizing year-round strategies to build and maintain superior relationships, cultivate donors, and engage community members in the work of United Way of Greater Toledo to meet and exceed revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul><li>Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects through visits and other forms of direct personal contact in accordance with performance targets.</li>
<li>Inspire and mobilize individual and corporate donors to give, advocate, and volunteer by discovering their interests and proposing alignment with our mission and activities.</li>
<li>Utilize knowledge gathered from donor meetings to develop and implement year-round strategies to engage, cultivate, and steward individual, workplace, and corporate donors.</li>
<li>Develop and implement long-term strategies for building relationships, deepening engagement, and increasing revenue generation from a portfolio of major donors ($10,000+) and high-performing corporate partners.</li>
<li>Engage new or lapsed corporate partners and individual donor prospects by involving stakeholders with our work in creative and strategic ways.</li>
<li>Work with committees of volunteers to aid in donor prospecting and engagement efforts with corporations and individuals.</li>
<li>Deepen individual donor involvement through cultivation and solicitation of planned gifts.</li>
<li>Propose and execute on short-term and long-range strategic fund-raising goals and objectives.</li>
<li>Develop and manage volunteer and donor stewardship programs that help forward goals of the Resource Development team.</li>
<li>Attend and provide support to donor cultivation and fundraising events as needed.</li>

<li>Maintain Andar database as a tool to help build relationships by keeping accurate and up-to-date account records.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Utilize Andar to support data-informed decision-making about workplace accounts and analyze donor information for trends, gaps, and opportunities for revenue growth.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Evaluate and assess current efforts and propose opportunities for progress and advancement.</li>
