Essential Functions 

1. Responsible for the overall support and service delivery of Veteran Care Coordination, 
including: 

a. Providing care coordination service via telephone, email, IM/Chat and in-person to 
veterans. 

b. Conducting comprehensive needs and service assessments. 
c. Facilitating referral to appropriate service providers, facilities, and treatment. 
d. Conducting comprehensive, person-centered activities in accordance with best 

practices. 
e. Screenings for risks to health and safety. 

2. Provides follow-up and monitoring quality of service delivery and care Coordination. 
3. Advocates on behalf of veterans and families to access federally funded and private 

organizations to meet basic and related service needs.

7. Analyzes, interprets, and prepares statistical data for Mission United Stakeholders, and any 
funders. 

8. Assists in the process of grant applications and any other funding opportunity. Tracks and 
reports on data and program information as appropriate post-award. 

9. Acts as the primary contact for Veteran specific funders such as Bonita Bay Veterans Council 
and Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). 

10. Monitors Veteran resources in database assuring Veteran resources are up to date and

Position Summary: The Vice President of Development serves as a key strategic leader,

Through program design, partnership cultivation, and cross-sector collaboration, the Director ensures that United Way’s housing initiatives are impactful, sustainable, and aligned with the broader goal of creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.<h2>Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</h2><ul><li>Assist the program design, strategic planning, and execution of United Way’s housing initiative in the areas of home preservation, housing development, and capacity building</li><li>Support the launch of housing grant processes by developing timelines, application materials, and reporting frameworks to ensure effective implementation&nbsp;</li><li>Lead oversight of program performance monitoring and compliance for organizations funded under United Way’s housing initiative</li><li>Provide administrative leadership in managing the financial and programmatic requirements of grants received by United Way, ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, and compliance with grant deadlines</li><li>Coordinate regular communication, workflow, and problem solving across multiple partner organizations</li><li>Spreadhead the execution of key activities under United Way’s housing programs</li><li>Facilitate meetings, events, and presentations for internal and external audiences&nbsp;</li><li>Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external partners- local government, nonprofit, for profit, grassroots and other community-based organizations</li><li>Support the strategic planning, development, and execution of marketing and communication strategies and materials that elevate United Way’s housing initiative</li><li>Analyze and&nbsp;evaluate data&nbsp;on&nbsp;housing programs, conduct research in housing areas of focus, and draft reports</li><li>Represent United Way on committees and working groups focused on housing issues, contributing insights and advancing collaborative solutions</li></ul><ul><li>Foster cross-departmental collaboration to enhance alignment, efficiency, and success for the organization’s mission&nbsp;</li><li>Perform other duties for the Community Impact Department as directed&nbsp;</li></ul><h2>Experience/Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required in a related field (Master’s degree preferred)</li><li>A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional&nbsp;experience</li><li>Experience with and understanding of affordable housing&nbsp;</li><li>Exceptional ability to foster transformational&nbsp;relationships</li><li>Experience with grant&nbsp;management</li><li>Creative and visionary thought leader and problem solver</li><li>Expertise in project&nbsp;management</li><li>Outstanding data management, research, and reporting&nbsp;capabilities</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to&nbsp;detail</li><li>Extensive skills in program strategy, execution, and achieving outcomes</li><li>Capable of communicating well verbally and in&nbsp;writing</li><li>Proficiency in presenting and facilitating for&nbsp;groups</li><li>Strong in time management and execution of deadlines</li><li>Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and&nbsp;confidentiality</li><li>Capable of collaborating at all levels and across all departments within the&nbsp;organization</li><li>Embody United Way values and hold a commitment to the organization’s&nbsp;mission</li><li>Ability to pass a background check&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Must pass pre-employment drug screening</li><li>Staff members who drive a vehicle on UWNEFL business must provide proof of a valid &nbsp;driver’s license and current automobile insurance</li><li>&nbsp;Keep all activities in line with the core values and contribute to the positive culture of &nbsp; &nbsp; United Way of NE Florida</li><li>Actively participate in the broader organizational activities and be a brand steward within &nbsp; the community, outside agencies and/or programs to enhance United Way services to the &nbsp;community</li></ul><h2>General Physical Requirements for Essential Functions of the Job:</h2>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
