
Workplace Campaign and Volunteer Specialist
Berkshire United Way is seeking a relationship-driven and highly organized Workplace Campaign and Corporate Volunteer Specialist to grow workplace giving and strengthen partnerships with local businesses. This role plays a key part in expanding philanthropic revenue and community engagement by managing workplace campaigns and creating meaningful volunteer opportunities that connect employees to local impact.
The Specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for corporate partners, supporting campaign success, increasing participation, and deepening engagement through volunteerism and year-round relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Campaign Management
- Manage a portfolio of workplace giving campaigns, serving as the primary liaison to corporate partners
- Plan and execute annual workplace campaigns, including timelines, materials, and communications
- Support employee giving and engagement through presentations, campaign events, and outreach
- Track campaign performance and participation; identify opportunities to grow revenue and engagement
- Provide training, support and ongoing engagement to employee campaign coordinators
Corporate Partnership Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners across Berkshire County
- Through CRM practices, learn the interests and motivations of corporate partners and identify opportunities to sustain and grow their philanthropic support to BUW
- Collaborate with development staff to align corporate partnerships with broader fundraising strategies
- Support recognition and stewardship efforts for corporate donors and partners
Corporate Volunteer Engagement
- Develop and coordinate corporate volunteer opportunities in partnership with nonprofit agencies
- Match companies with meaningful, community-based volunteer projects aligned with local needs
- Plan and support group volunteer events, including logistics, communication, and follow-up
- Track volunteer participation and impact; share stories that highlight community outcomes
Event & Engagement Support
- Support planning and execution of a workplace campaign kickoff event
- Assist with donor and partner recognition efforts and events as needed
- Represent Berkshire United Way at community and partner events
Gift Entry and Acknowledgement
- Enter corporate commitments and employee giving opportunities in donor database with accuracy and timeliness
- Generate both digital and hard copy acknowledgements for all workplace giving commitments
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience working in nonprofit sector, fundraising, corporate sector, volunteer management, sales or a related field
- Strong relationship-building, networking, and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Strong verbal and content-driven communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Motivated to raise revenue within defined time and dollar goals
- Understanding of ambassadorship and representing BUW in the community
- Passion for volunteerism
- Intrinsic values towards community support, collective impact, and collaboration
- Creative problem solver and leans into innovation and entrepreneurship
- Experience with CRM systems a plus
- Occasionally requires early morning, evening, and weekend work commitments
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
Salary Range: $53,000 – $59,000
The Workplace Campaign and Volunteer Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position. BUW offers a hybrid schedule that includes the opportunity to work remotely 1-2 days per week. Salary is commensurate with relevant experience and in proportion with BUW's operating budget.
