VITA Coordinator
This is a temporary, full-time position with no benefits. This position is expected to end May 2025 and is subject to grant funding availability.

Position Summary
The VITA Coordinator supports the Community Foundation and United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties’ (CF UWVFC) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. United Way professionals should exhibit core competencies: mission-focused, relationship-oriented, collaborator, results-driven and brand-steward.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Acumen & Strategic Direction
- Support of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program to include tracking volunteer training certifications and other documentation, assisting with setting up and maintaining the appointment scheduler, tracking VITA inventory, collecting volunteer hours, and other support program functions.
Outward Turning
- Maintain strong relationships with VITA volunteers to include Site Coordinators.
- Distribute supplies and other items to VITA sites (Volusia and Flagler Counties) throughout tax season.
Talent Management & People Development
- Receive and provide feedback in a constructive way.
Operational Planning & Execution
- Support events as needed to include VITA Appreciation Tour and End of Season Volunteer Celebration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and two years of relevant work experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with volunteers and staff.
- Professional integrity to deal ethically with confidential information.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Computer skills (minimum of Microsoft software programs including Excel) and attention to detail.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of insured motor vehicle.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Work is carried out in a controlled, agreeable environment as generally represented by normal office conditions. Employees may be required to assist with or attend various offsite events related to programs or fund raising that are scheduled evenings and/or weekends. These events may require several hours on your feet and assisting with heavy lifting and carrying.

Salary Range- $19.50 Hourly
