The Sr. Manager, Human Resources at United Way of the Bluegrass (UWBG) is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the organization. This role involves managing a dedicated HR staff member, being a primary point of contact for HR related matters for all members of the organization.  The Sr. Manager, Human Resources reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, playing a key role in aligning HR strategies with UWBG's overarching strategic objectives and priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Staff Management: Supervise and provide guidance to the HR staff member, ensuring efficient and effective execution of HR functions.
  • Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the Finance and Operations department to oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • HRIS Administration: Act as the dedicated administrator for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), maintaining data integrity and optimizing system functionality.
  • Benefits Management: Manage and facilitate employee benefits programs, including enrollment, administration, and communication.
  • Compliance Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations through accurate and timely reporting.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a supportive work environment.
  • Development and Compensation: In collaboration with the Vice President of Finance and Administration, develop and implement strategies for employee development and compensation, aligning with organizational goals and budgetary considerations.
  • Executive Team Membership: Act as a member of the company Executive Team, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Performance Development Plans: Create and maintain performance development plans for the organization, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
