Relationship Manager, Resources Development - Corporate
- Maintain close, positive relationships with the key accounts in the assigned portfolio throughout the year, including planning and oversight of the accounts’ annual United Way campaign – focusing on building and maintaining effective relationships.
- Be a passionate advocate of UWSA mission and be able to advocate amongst our corporate partners and their employees.
- Oversee employee giving campaigns and creates meaningful growth through best practice strategies to grow participation and average gifts.
- Work with the Individual Giving team to coordinate donor cultivation of individuals within the workplace who have potential to give major gifts.
- Strategic engagement of companies year-round through implementation of specific donor/corporate engagement strategies in partnership with overall Development team, Community Engagement, Marketing, and/or Volunteerism.
- Develop strategies to identify, cultivate, and steward current and potential leadership donors (gifts of $500 or more) within workplace campaigns.
- Work with portfolio of corporations, corporate champions, and internal stakeholders to create revenue growth strategies for each account, informed by targeted research and the company’s CSR focus.
- Assist volunteer identification, recruitment, training, retention, and advancement.
- In partnership with corporate partners, create a donor engagement strategy targeted at returning, new, lapsing, and lapsed donors.
- Consistently document key conversations with prospects, donors, and corporate partners into UWSA’s customer management database (CRM).
- Strong attention to detail and focus on updating campaign and individual donor information in CRM including, but not limited to, corporate contact(s), employee count, UWSA involvement, company processing information, engagement practices, campaign start/end dates, etc.
- Maintain solid understanding of United Way programs and initiatives.
- Work with colleagues across the organization to develop customized giving proposals for key donors who may have an interest in funding a particular initiative.
- Develop relationships with the finance and administration staff to ensure that information on campaign reports is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor reports for actual and projected progress to goals for accounts within assigned portfolio and work with the Information Systems team to finalize.
- Work with and manage Loaned Executives on the management of corporate campaigns and the interactions with company contacts.
- Work with the VP, RD to streamline processes and improve ROI on all fundraising activities.
- Willingly accept other ancillary or related assignments that will enhance the effectiveness of the corporation.
- Bachelor’s degree – required in a related field of study.
- A Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience desired, with one or more years of fundraising or sales experience preferred.
- Experience in working effectively in multicultural environments.
- Strong relationships in the nonprofit, public and private sectors.
- Staff and volunteer management.
- Experience in using virtual platforms for presentations and/or setting up virtual meetings.
- Experience with CRM/database management preferred.
- Knowledge of the nonprofit arena and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, donors and volunteers.
- Ability to identify and build opportunities and assist in educating and mobilizing networks of individuals, companies, and agencies to support UWSA’s impact agenda.
