Parenting Education Navigation Manager
United Way of Lane County seeks an enthusiastic and engaged Parenting Education Navigation Manager. We are creating a new closed-loop navigation and referral system for families with children from prenatal to age 8. The Navigation Manager will develop the referral system within the Unite Us platform and supervise the bilingual-bicultural navigators. This position will also engage in community resource outreach and system organization. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and thrive in an environment with complex work.
The Parenting Education Navigation Manager works closely with all UWLC staff and departments, particularly Education staff, nonprofit agency partners, community service groups, and government agencies. This position is connected to and engaged with local United Ways and United Way Worldwide colleagues for continuous learning, growth and consideration of new ideas. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION
The successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
- Grounds community building efforts in anti-racism, challenging systemic oppression, equity, wealth disparity, intersectionality, and other areas important to social justice.
- Understands and can implement concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into work; works together to identify opportunities and unintended consequences of projects or policies within their work.
- Manages and facilitates education, family support and parenting education related projects and meetings while developing and fostering positive, strategic relationships with external partner organizations and subcontractors.
- Supervises and oversees the work of resource navigators.
- Designs and leads this project and engagement processes; coordinates with other agencies and organizations to establish common goals, working agreements, project timelines and deliverables.
- Communicates constructively, cultivates self-awareness and emotional intelligence, reflects on how to improve.
- Communicates effectively in writing with ability to create or collaborate in grant-making and reporting requirements.
- Enhances partner and subcontractor effectiveness through technical assistance, consultation, resource sharing and by assisting with collaborative efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements include:
Grade 1: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum three (3) years related working experience, with applicable degree or certification in project management, non-profit management, communications, health systems, or similar
OR
Five (5) years related working experience, with applicable degree or certification in project management, non-profit management, communications, health systems, or similar
Grade 2: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum five (5) years working experience, with applicable degree or certification in project management, non-profit management, communications, health systems, or similar
OR
Seven (7) years related working experience, with applicable degree or certification in project management, non-profit management, communications, health systems, or similar
Minimum Skills and Knowledge include:
- Ability to use culturally appropriate communication to clearly and concisely correspond, both orally and in writing.
- Detailed oriented.
- Ability to track and organize records, contracts, subcontracts and reports.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Be responsive to emails and phone calls.
- Use sound judgement in decision making.
- Flexible and able to respond to shifting priorities and competing demands.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

SALARY STATEMENT
The budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is currently $51,786 to $74,572 per year, depending upon the grade level. Proffered salaries are determined by several factors including applicant's knowledge, skills, experience, position, equity, and market.
