The Marketing and Communications Assistant is responsible for supporting the Marketing & Communications Senior Manager and marketing and communications tasks and duties. This role involves a range of tasks that align with the company’s strategic plan, goals and overall marketing department strategy. This is an on-site, hybrid role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Effective and Engaging Communicator

  • Assist with content development across various platforms including but not limited to e-newsletters, promotional items, website management, and social media content. 
  • Utilize platforms to schedule social posts (including engagement), conduct website updates, schedule email campaigns, etc. to distribute content. 
  • Provide support with graphic design tasks while abiding by branding guidelines.

 Critical Thinking and Creative Problem Solving

  • Pull reports and engagement metrics on communication channels, including growth, retention, interactions, impressions, consumer habits and conversions.

  Planning and Implementation

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings for the marketing team.
  • Track marketing and communication tasks and follow up when needed.
  • Work with marketing vendors as appropriate. 
  • Attend events to capture photos and videos. 
  • Additional duties and support as necessary to support the Marketing & Communications Senior Manager and marketing and communications tasks.

Qualifications 

  • Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar degree, or high school diploma and two years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient computer skills and digital literacy.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively while adhering to process and assignments from supervisor and remain flexible to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Team player that embraces changes that improve efficiencies throughout the organization.
  • Ability to work independently while also following instructions when applicable. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and written.
  • Administrative skills and project management skills including excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  Preferred

  • Knowledge and experience of HubSpot, Constant Contact, WordPress and Canva or similar platforms. 
  • Proficient in social media best practices and collecting data from various platforms.
  • Graphic design and/or digital content/design experience.
  • Understanding of marketing and communications best practices and principles.

Working Conditions & PhysicalRequirements

  Work is carried out in a controlled, agreeable environment as generally represented by normal   office conditions. Employees may be required to assist with or attend various offsite events related to programs or fundraising that are scheduled evenings and/or weekends. These events may require several hours on your feet and assisting with heavy lifting and carrying.  Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Salary Range- $19.00-$20.00 per hour, Part Time Position Up to 25 Hours Per Week With No Benefits
