JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Women United, reports to the Senior Director, Donor Communities & Connections (DC&C) and is a key member of the Office of Development (OoD). The goal of Donor Communities & Connections team is to steward and expand leadership-giving within respective demographic(s) while informing, engaging and soliciting target populations.
This innovative position will play an instrumental role cultivating women philanthropists while creating and implementing an individual engagement strategic plan aimed at increasing revenue and donor retention; providing opportunities to engage prospects; effectively managing volunteer cabinets & committees, growing women’s affinity group membership; expanding individual engagement to include regional opportunities; stewarding UWGA key corporate and major giving stakeholders; engaging a diverse audience; and evaluating & executing moves management opportunities through targeted outreach. In pursuit of these goals and other measurable metrics, the Director will utilize various marketing & technology channels to build connections within UWGA’s community and beyond, as well as work collaboratively with leads in DC&C, OOD and across the organization to implement robust strategies & tactics to build donors outside the traditional workplace campaign; building individual relationships through personalized communications & meetings and fostering UWGA champions within the area of women’s advancement. Engagement will consist of professional development, volunteerism, and related social networking events. This position will also be responsible for volunteer board/cabinet management duties as directed by the Senior Director, Donor Communities & Connections on individual needs and priorities to maintain superior donor relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3-5 years successful experience in fundraising, sales, relationship, and/or account management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This role supports the goals of
- Work collaboratively with other teams organizationally to increase and retain women’s affinity group membership.
- Work collaboratively to design and implement strategies to lead with the identification, qualification, solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of UWGA donors and prospects.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects. Follow all prospect management policies and procedures. Oversee the solicitation, renewal, and moves management strategy of all those in said portfolio. Oversee the solicitation of all volunteer leaders pursuant to prospect management policies.
- Utilize the UWGA CRM to track data and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the development of an individual engagement strategic plan.
- Effectively manage event budgets to remain within approved targets.
- Represent the organization at speaking engagements at internal and external events.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Community Engagement programmatic staff and staff across the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Oversee the management of volunteers/boards/committees/cabinets.
- Serve as a key member of the Donor Communities & Engagement Team, providing innovative ideas and leadership that promote individual engagement.
- Meet all assigned goals and metrics.
- Be service-oriented and collaborative in nature.
- Plan and execute a variety of events and oversee the strategic engagement of event attendees during the event and beyond.
