Job Description Position Title Community Investments Manager

Department Operations Reports To – Community Investments Assistant Director

FLSA Status – Exempt Classification – Full Time UWW Code -

Position Summary The Community Investments Manager supports the Community Foundation and United Way of Volusia- Flagler Counties’ (CF UWVFC) strategic investment efforts. The goal of this position is to support the organization’s ability to drive positive change by strategic investments in the community through grantmaking and grant management. United Way professionals should exhibit core competencies: mission-focused, relationship-oriented, collaborator, results-driven and brand-steward. Duties and Responsibilities Business Acumen & Strategic Direction


• Write, and manage grant opportunities that align with the CF UWVFC’s strategic investment goals.


• Prepare and submit reporting for grants and contracts as required.
• Share internal reporting to inform and communicate impact of investments.
• Steward non-profits through grant application, award process, and follow up reporting in

CRM system.
• Oversee 2-1-1 database including updates and referrals including Publix Emergency Fund.
• Management of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program to include

communications with Internal Revenue Service, Site Coordinators and volunteers and budget management.

Outward Turning
• Maintain strong relationships with non-profits, funding agencies and partners.

Talent Management & People Development


• Receive and provide feedback in a constructive way. Operational Planning & Execution


• Support events as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR four years of relevant work experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate the key stakeholders,

peers and staff.
• High degree of professional integrity to deal ethically with confidential information.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Excellent computer skills (minimum of Microsoft software programs) and attention to

details and deadlines. Experience working with a customer relationship management system.


• Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of insured motor vehicle.

Preferred
• Grant writing and grant and contract management experience.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Work is carried out in a controlled, agreeable environment as generally represented by normal office conditions. Employees may be required to assist with or attend various offsite events related to programs or fund raising that are scheduled evenings and/or weekends. These events may require several hours on your feet and assisting with heavy lifting and carrying.
