The Assistant Vice President of Multiyear Campaign Strategies and Operations holds a central and influential role within the United Way of Greater Atlanta's (UWGA) Office of Development. Tasked with a mission far exceeding traditional administrative expectations, this individual is entrusted with the strategic oversight and tactical execution of UWGA's ambitious multiyear campaigns.

Integral to the Office of Development's Leadership Team, they drive key campaign initiatives, setting the pace for delivery and ensuring alignment with UWGA's overarching mission and objectives. Their position, acting as a conduit between campaign leadership, staff, consultants, and other stakeholders, facilitates effective and streamlined communication, thereby ensuring that each phase of the campaign is meticulously planned, monitored, and executed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely record of campaign gifts and pledges, ensuring swift dispatch of gift acknowledgment receipts.
  • Oversee all multiyear campaign gift planning and execution, including the development of solicitation plans, gift pyramids, stewardship reports, etc.
  • Work with internal and external experts to identify campaign prospects.
  • Consistently prepare detailed campaign reports on pledges, gifts, and progress.
  • Establish and sustain all campaign-relevant files.
  • Manage all campaign-related communications and collateral.
  • Coordinate all campaign-related meetings for both internal and external groups.
  • Equip campaign volunteers and staff with pertinent donor data and campaign materials.
  • Oversee campaign correspondence, reporting, and publicity releases.
  • Manage campaign volunteer recruitment and support.
  • Collaborate with professional advisors to guide volunteers on campaign responsibilities.
  • Represent UWGA and the Office of Development at external meetings and events.
  • Create and execute a robust strategy for internal and external campaign events. 
  • Plan and execute all campaign events.   
  • Manage the development and update of all campaign-related documents and collateral, including gift pyramids, case statement, print materials, etc.
  • Support in drafting solicitation proposals.
  • Uphold donor recognition and stewardship policies.
  • Oversee the campaign budget.
  • Assist the Chief Development Officer with other identified campaign-related duties and tasks.

Qualifications & Competencies

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of professional fundraising experience, with a marked track record of success to include experience managing and executing large multiyear campaigns.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms such as Andar.
  • Stellar written and verbal communication prowess.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong adherence to confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with relational fundraising principles and practices.
  • A fervent passion for United Way of Greater Atlanta’s mission and vision.
