Monadnock Housing CollaborativeProgram Manager August 2025Position OverviewMonadnock United Way (MUW) is seeking an entrepreneurial community builder and systems thinker to launch and grow the Monadnock Housing Collaborative (MHC)—a new regional coalition advancing housing opportunities for all. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up: shaping a cross-sector network, guiding strategy, and mobilizing people around one of our region’s most urgent challenges.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Program Manager will help drive change by fostering community involvement and advocacy at local and state levels to reduce barriers and improve the supply and diversity of housing in the Monadnock Region.The successful candidate brings both vision and practicality, balancing long-term systems change with immediate, tangible action. This role requires a natural convener that thrives in dynamic environments and has a passion for connecting people, programs, and ideas to create solutions with lasting impact.This role reports to MUW’s President and is central to MUW’s commitment to regional vitality.&nbsp;&nbsp;About the Monadnock Housing Collaborative&nbsp;MHC is a regional initiative convened by MUW, Southwest Region Planning Commission, and Monadnock Interfaith Project. It is the lens for all we do.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in community development, coalition coordination, housing, policy advocacy, or nonprofit management.</li><li>Demonstrated project management and stakeholder engagement skills.</li><li>Experience working with volunteers, cross-sector collaborations, and/or community organizing.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, facilitation, and public speaking.</li><li>Familiarity with New Hampshire housing issues (especially in rural areas) is a plus.</li><li>Grant writing and/or fundraising experience preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and digital collaboration tools.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Willingness to attend occasional evening/weekend meetings and travel within the region.</li><li>Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.</li></ul>Physical DemandsThe physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
