&nbsp;Job Title: &nbsp;Family Support&nbsp;AdvocateReporting To:&nbsp;Senior Manager, Community Programs&nbsp;Department: &nbsp;211OC&nbsp;&nbsp;Position: &nbsp;Full-time/Non-ExemptPurpose of PositionUnder the supervision of the Senior Manager, Community Programs, the Family Support Advocate (FSA) is part of the collaborative within the Families and Communities Together (FaCT) grant. The FSA is responsible for providing comprehensive case management and family advocacy services to clients who may or may not have experienced domestic violence. The FSA is responsible for screening clients, ensuring participants access services, follow up with participants, as needed, complete pre- and post-assessment utilizing the Family Development Matrix (FDM) within the FaCT platform, perform home visits when necessary, participate in outreach events, work closely with internal and community partners in other Social Services Agencies, and prepare and submit data and reports as required by grants.&nbsp;Key Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Provide family advocacy by linking families to internal and external community agencies for appropriate&nbsp;resources.</li><li>Provide family case management to ensure family’s linkage and referral to&nbsp;services.</li><li>Assist individuals with the completion of registration&nbsp;paperwork.</li><li>Ensure all documentation and assessments are completed and entered into corresponding databases (i.e., VistaShare) within designated time&nbsp;limits.</li><li>Perform home visits, when necessary, with social workers and as allowed by direct&nbsp;supervisor.</li><li>Present cases in weekly Case Management Team (CMT)&nbsp;meetings.</li><li>Collaborate with internal programs, agency partners, social workers, and with community-based agencies for service&nbsp;delivery.</li><li>Periodic check-ins with Site Supervisor for OCUW/211OC updates, etc. as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Flexible schedule required to participate in community outreach&nbsp;events.</li><li>Provide support for on-site staff as needed.</li><li>Attend program and agency staff meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Submit a quarterly success or impact story to FaCT.</li><li>Abide by professional confidentiality guidelines by only sharing client information within the organization when it meets the client's&nbsp;need.</li><li>Other duties may be&nbsp;assigned.</li></ul>Job Requirements /Technical Knowledge<ul><li>Bachelor’s&nbsp;Degree&nbsp;required in&nbsp;behavioral&nbsp;science, related&nbsp;field,&nbsp;or&nbsp;commensurate&nbsp;work experience&nbsp;required.</li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish required.</li><li>Two years of experience in case management with at risk children and&nbsp;families.</li><li>One year of knowledge in the child welfare system&nbsp;preferred.</li><li>Excellent&nbsp;knowledge of&nbsp;community&nbsp;resources&nbsp;and&nbsp;familiarity&nbsp;to&nbsp;utilize&nbsp;resource linkages in Orange&nbsp;County.</li><li>Self-motivated, flexible, a good listener, proactive, and team player</li><li>Valid class C&nbsp;license.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of issues and challenges of family violence in&nbsp;the community.</li><li>Excellent customer service&nbsp;skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and&nbsp;working knowledge of computer database program entry and report&nbsp;generation.</li><li>Complete the 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate certification training&nbsp;post-hire.</li></ul>Work Schedule<ul><li>Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM</li><li>Monday and Thursday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM</li><li>Nights and weekends, as needed</li></ul>Core CompetenciesCustomer Service&nbsp;- Manages difficult or emotional customer situations;
