Position Summary: (Hybrid, 3 days in office - Alexandria, VA)The Senior Accountant, Grant Administration supports the Grant Administration Director in overseeing all of the United Way Worldwide’s (UWW) grant reporting activities and maintaining compliance with all private and federal grant reporting and compliance requirements. This position works directly with UWW program and development staff to assist with the review of grant requirements for new grants, determine and ensure compliance with the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements outlined in 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance). Key Responsibilities/ Essential Duties: The Senior Accountant, Grant Administration responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Pre-award<ul><li>Assist with supporting program and development staff in the creation of proposals for new development opportunities, including reviewing and contributing to concept notes, proposals, and budgets. Assist with the review of all proposal budgets prior to proposal submission, ensuring accuracy, consistency with technical proposal, completeness, and compliance with funder and Uniform Guidance requirements.</li><li>Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of funding mechanisms, funder requirements, budget conditions and spending status for all grants and awards.</li></ul>Post-award<ul><li>Coordinate the approval of agreements, amendments, cost or no-cost extensions for all UWW awards.</li><li>Assist with the management for the subrecipient monitoring processes, collecting, and analyzing data, documenting results, and identifying and discussing implications, including initial review and risk assessment of potential subrecipient’s operational and organizational risk, review of subrecipients’ Single Audits, and review of subrecipient audit findings.</li><li>Proactively interpret and assess subrecipient risks to surface and address issues. Assist with the maintenance of the grants repository that summarizes period of performance, obligated amounts, reporting requirements, etc., for all UWW grant funded programs.</li></ul>Grants management<ul><li>Attend and actively participate in grant-related meetings, as assigned.</li><li>Assist with the maintenance of pipeline and burn rate spreadsheets for all of UWW's grant funded programs.</li><li>Prepares accurate and timely internal financial reports for delivery to the Program Managers on a monthly basis.</li><li>Assist with the review, monitoring, and analysis of the monthly financial transactions to ensure compliance with grant and funder or Uniform Guidance requirements and UWW policies; incorporate grant management best practices.</li><li>Utilize the developed guidance, templates, and toolkits to ensure timely submission of narrative and financial funder reports; collaborate with Program Managers to ensure that funder financial reports are both timely and accurate.</li></ul>Closeout <ul><li>Assist with the close out all grants according to the funder's requirements and UWW policy, and reconcile all final deliverables and payments, in conjunction with finance and program staff.</li></ul>Other duties<ul><li>Assist with the creation of the indirect cost rate proposal/determine the use of the de minimis rate and related final analysis and reporting. </li><li>Assist with providing guidance and training for UWW staff, contractors, and subrecipients, at either the start of their employment or the start of a new grant or as needed, to ensure effective compliance with relevant federal rules and regulations. </li><li>Assist the policy owners to update and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures which conforms to the Uniform Grant Guidance for all federal grants and GAAP for all private grants.</li><li>Assist with the maintenance of the grants administration procedure manual.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Minimum Requirements:<ul><li>3-5 years of audit or industry experience with not-for-profit accounting</li><li>Knowledge of Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements outlined in 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance)  </li><li>Experience managing private grants is strongly preferred</li><li>Proven knowledge of accounting theory and practice, particularly non-profit accounting, reporting, and Uniform Guidance regulations and compliance.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Director, Marketing Communications Operations

POSITION SUMMARY (Hybrid, 3 days in office - Alexandria, VA)The Director, Network Relations serves as project manager and a liaison to United Way advisory councils that advance critical agendas on behalf of United Way Worldwide and the global United Way Network. The Director is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and administration of council and task force initiatives, as well as facilitating effective communication and collaboration among council members and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, strong leadership abilities, outstanding relationship skills, and a deep understanding of advisory council and task force dynamics. POSITION SUMMARY (Alexandria, VA onsite HYBRID)About 211211 is a vital service leveraged by millions of people across North America. In 2022 alone, 211s in the US answered more than 18 million calls, texts, chats and emails, helping millions with life-changing support. There is no other network in the country that has a similar pulse on America’s needs. The Lead Associate, 211 Programs and Network Engagement is a motivated, detail-oriented, dedicated associate tasked with coordinating all project administrative processes and tasks related to 211 programs and network engagement.  The individual completes all contracts, agreements, and payments between UWW and local teams and partners related to 211 programs throughout the year. The position supports program inquiries, project communications, building responsive solutions to local team needs, and backstopping all staff supporting 211 programs, such as the Ride United, AARP Caregiver Program, and other programs leveraging 211. The Lead Associate is essential to enabling project implementation and management, network communications, ongoing training, resource creation, and program reporting and analysis. The individual is responsible for managing the requirements of several contracts and grants, supporting the managers and directors in improving and maintaining internal processes related to communications and data, and supporting fundraising efforts to leverage the 211 network (United Way Worldwide’s 211 Team provides coordination at the national level to a diverse Network of 200+ 211 teams). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITIONAn individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level: <ul><li>Serve as the main administrative coordinator for 211 programs including the Ride United, AARP Caregiver, and other grant and contract funded programs leveraging 211, through the efficient handling of administrative and project tasks to ensure projects stay on track and contract and grant deliverables are met.</li><li>Support the local United Way and 211 Network participating in 211 programs by managing information and tools, coordinating and planning key meetings, events, and trainings, and managing the collection of data and information from the Network.</li><li>Manage all internal UWW processes related to contracting and invoicing including the Business Review Process.  </li><li>Develop positive working relationships with internal UWW staff in Finance, General Counsel, and other relevant departments to ensure effective communications and work flow.</li><li>Support partnership and development efforts to secure grants, contracts, and funding by maintaining project dashboards, answering programmatic questions, supporting donor inquiries, and ensuring timely reporting.</li><li>Create reports and project summaries for internal and external communications.</li><li>Provide superior customer service to local United Way and 211 Network representatives inquiring about 211 programs and resources by providing timely and thorough responses and information.  Identify opportunities to enhance onboarding and training and identify needed tools through interactions with partners.  Support Managers and Directors in developing tools and resources to support team programs and work.
