POSITION SUMMARY Provide individuals with suicide intervention, safety planning, crisis de-escalation, problem solving, brief assessment and appropriate social service referrals within a contact center environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:<ul><li>Answer inbound 988 Suicide &amp; Crisis Lifeline and 211 information and referral contacts.</li><li>Assess contact’s needs or situation using pertinent questions and the principles of active listening.</li><li>Provide appropriate screenings for specialized programs.</li><li>Access multiple databases for resources and appropriately refer contacts.</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in using multiple types of contact center software, computer hardware and telephone equipment.</li><li>Maintain accurate data collection on all contacts in the appropriate database.</li><li>Maintain a non-judgmental attitude when interacting with contacts, displaying sensitivity to all cultural backgrounds.</li><li>Advocate for clients within the framework of contact center protocols and procedures when appropriate.</li><li>Maintain acceptable level of contact handling and customer service performance as described by 211 and Crisis Services training standards and performance metrics.</li><li>Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.</li><li>Complete all training for new programs and services related to 211 and Crisis Services when needed.</li><li>Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul> JOB REQUIREMENTS Job requirements include:<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>One year of experience in social services, crisis hotline, contact center, or information and referral service preferred.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office required.</li><li>Client management databases or other relational database experience, preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of health and human services desired.</li><li>Ability to effectively assess client needs and show sensitivity to issues presented by contacts.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced contact center.</li><li>Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.</li><li>Must have access to a private, secure, and stable high-speed internet connection.</li><li>Must have access to a quiet, confidential workspace.</li></ul> COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communications - Ability to communicate effectively. Position: CENTER FOR RESILIENCY – RESILIENCY NAVIGATOR 

Reports To: Center for Resiliency Manager 

Purpose: This role supports community members through direct service, 
case management, and resource navigation. It also involves 
building partnerships, organizing outreach efforts, and supporting 
the overall mission of United Way of El Paso County (UWEPC), 
particularly within the Center for Resiliency. 

 
MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
Resource Navigation 

• Conduct holistic assessments, crisis intervention, and case management for 
community members. 

• Provide referrals and connect individuals to relevant services, ensuring warm 
hand-offs and follow-ups. 

• Keep resource directories updated and maintain accurate records of clients and 
services. 

• Assist clients with paperwork and documentation required for program eligibility. 

• Cover El Paso Helps and other platforms as needed. 

• Work from assigned site as needed. 

• Able to manage a caseload of 60 to 80 cases. 

• Other duties as assigned. 

 
Outreach and Programming 
 

• Offer services in accessible community locations considering transportation, 

hours, and language needs. 

• Create safe, welcoming environments for those seeking help. 

• Organize and lead community events in collaboration with local agencies and 

stakeholders.

• Represent UWEPC at conferences, forums, and meetings. 

• Track and report service usage, impact data, and financial contributions (e.g., 
donations and grants). 

 
Community Partnerships 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community programs and services. 
 • Build and sustain partnerships with service providers and community 

organizations. 
 • Facilitate strategic collaborations and meetings to assess community needs and 

coordinate responses. 
 • Advocate for UWEPC’s initiatives and research new programs aligned with its 

mission. 

Community Engagement 
 

• Collaborate with internal UWEPC teams to support community outreach. 

• Promote UWEPC at community events and act as an ambassador for the 
organization. 

• Foster relationships with businesses and individuals to increase community 
support. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, public health, communications, nonprofit 
management, or related field. 

• At least three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and 
experience. 

• Knowledge of nonprofit operations is essential; experience in 
grant/program/case management is preferred. 

• Flexible schedule, including potential evenings and weekends. 

• Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance. 

• Applicant should have experience working with vulnerable communities that 
face challenges related to employment, housing, education, or mental health, 
and should ideally possess specialized expertise in at least one of these areas. 

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. 

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, 
Microsoft Teams). 

• Experience with case management systems preferred 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex ideas 
clearly.
