The Parent Educator contributes to the achievement of United Way of El Paso County’s (UWEPC) mission, vision, and Education Community Impact goals by addressing a key strategy: family home visitation programs.&nbsp; The Program Manger’s responsibility is to successfully deliver the Parents as Teachers program, an evidence-based early childhood home visitation framework that builds strong communities, thriving families and children who are healthy, safe and ready to learn.

	KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Parents as Teachers (PAT) Parent Educator delivers the essential PAT program functions, to include:
<ul><li>Preparing for and conducting monthly or bi-monthly home visits, including home visits with reoccurring access to vulnerable populations, which will require 27 to 35 visits per month</li>
<li>Partner with families to improve well-being, reflect with families regarding parenting styles, and facilitate discussions and play activities to foster healthy development</li>
<li>Planning and conducting group connections and family appreciation events</li>
<li>Conducting screenings and assessments for parents and children</li>
<li>Utilizing identified resources available to provide family support</li>
</ul>Administrative Compliance for Parents as Teachers
<ul><li>Complete data entry in two electronic databases including Penelope (PAT) and Extended Reach.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and complete family file records.</li>
<li>Complete daily timesheets, staff weekly and monthly reports, monthly mileage and expense reports by set deadlines.</li>
<li>Participate in monthly reflective and administrative supervision sessions.</li>
<li>Recruit families to maintain a full caseload by conducting presentations in small or large groups.</li>
<li>Request donations and incentives for active participants in the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program.</li>
</ul>Professional Development
<ul><li>Complete at least 20 hours of professional development each year to maintain Parents as Teachers credential.</li>
<li>Attend all required trainings: Core Curriculum trainings, Technology Training, PAT Foundational and Model Implementation trainings, Ages and Stages Questionnaire, Life Skills Progression, Cultural Competency Training, Health Screenings and other trainings as recommended by program to enhance professional skills and capacity building.</li>
</ul>EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS
At least a four-year bachelor's degree in education, Health, Child Development, Sociology, or a related field is required.&nbsp; An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills and abilities will be considered.&nbsp;
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Overview:&nbsp;We’re looking for an Associate Database Administrator for our Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), to help our community’s effort to reach functional zero for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. The ideal candidate will be data-driven and also excel in facilitating relationships with community partners and vendors. They’ll provide training and support to HMIS system users to ensure high-quality data that will aid our goal to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Facilitation and maintaining of strategic alliances/partnerships with public, private, and non-profit organizations to develop, integrate, and implement program priorities. <h4 id="h-employment-and-careers">WORK UNITED</h4> <h2> 211 &amp; Crisis Services Specialist </h2> <dl> <dt> Job Title </dt> <dd> 211 &amp; Crisis Services Specialist </dd> </dl> <dl> <dt> Job ID </dt> <dd> 27747343 </dd> </dl> <dl> <dt> Work Remote </dt> <dd> Yes </dd> </dl> <dl> <dt> Location </dt> <dd> Remote </dd> </dl> <dl> <dt> Other Location </dt> </dl> <dl> <dt> Description </dt> <dd> ​​​​​​ POSITION SUMMARY Provide individuals with suicide intervention, safety planning, crisis de-escalation, problem solving, brief assessment and appropriate social service referrals within a contact center environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level: <ul> 	<li>Answer inbound 988 Suicide &amp; Crisis Lifeline and 211 information and referral contacts.</li> 	<li>Assess contact’s needs or situation using pertinent questions and the principles of active listening.</li> 	<li>Provide appropriate screenings for specialized programs.</li> 	<li>Access multiple databases for resources and appropriately refer contacts.</li> 	<li>Demonstrate proficiency in using multiple types of contact center software, computer hardware and telephone equipment.</li> 	<li>Maintain accurate data collection on all contacts in the appropriate database.</li> 	<li>Maintain a non-judgmental attitude when interacting with contacts, displaying sensitivity to all cultural backgrounds.</li> 	<li>Advocate for clients within the framework of contact center protocols and procedures when appropriate.</li> 	<li>Maintain acceptable level of contact handling and customer service performance as described by 211 and Crisis Services training standards and performance metrics.</li> 	<li>Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.</li> 	<li>Complete all training for new programs and services related to 211 and Crisis Services when needed.</li> 	<li>Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li> </ul> JOB REQUIREMENTS Job requirements include: <ul> 	<li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li> 	<li>One year of experience in social services, crisis hotline, contact center, or information and referral service preferred.</li> 	<li>Experience with Microsoft Office required.</li> 	<li>Client management databases or other relational database experience, preferred.</li> 	<li>Demonstrated knowledge of health and human services desired.</li> 	<li>Ability to effectively assess client needs and show sensitivity to issues presented by contacts.</li> 	<li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced contact center.</li> 	<li>Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.</li> 	<li>Must have access to a private, secure, and stable high-speed internet connection.</li> 	<li>Must have access to a quiet, confidential workspace.</li> </ul> COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communications - Ability to communicate effectively.
