This program, set to run for 7 years, aims to make significant impacts in environmental, social and health areas focusing on low-income, disadvantaged communities.&nbsp;The Director will work in partnership with UWW staff and PFC teams to support market-readiness for programs and services focused on energy efficiency in low-income households, which includes building awareness of and demand.&nbsp;This role will focus on supporting the marketing and communications functions for the program, creating materials and content that can be used in local markets, and working with those markets to ensure they are locally relevant. These may include advertising, earned media, amplification through trusted brands, digital marketing, radio, out-of-home, print advertisements in targeted local newspapers, and public service announcements.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Director will create the strategy and supporting tactics and resources to reach target audiences through earned, owned, and paid channels. POSITION SUMMARY:(Eligible for Hybrid/ 3 days in office - Alexandria, VA)&nbsp;The Senior Director of State Policy and Advocacy will be responsible for leading United Way Worldwide’s support of state-specific policy advocacy efforts and providing technical assistance and training to strengthen local United Ways in developing and implementing policy and advocacy strategies. The successful candidate will work across United Way’s impact pillars that guide the organization’s policy priorities: Healthy Communities, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency.
