ROLE: The Finance Director provides strategic fiscal leadership, ensuring strong operational controls, effective reporting, and accurate financial forecasting. This role leads the preparation of operating and capital budgets, performs detailed variance analyses, and drives the financial health of the organization. The Finance Director works closely with organizational leadership and is supported by an Accounting Coordinator to implement financial procedures and fiscal strategies aimed at optimizing resources and maximizing community impact. &nbsp;DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial (50%) • Supervise the Accounting Coordinator and ensure timely processing of payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. • Conduct monthly reconciliation of financial assistance, billing, and tuition collection for CARE Academy. • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial statements. • Develop the annual budget in collaboration with UWYC staff, setting income and expense expectations for the current and upcoming fiscal years. • Engage cost center managers to monitor and report budget progress. • Prepare fiscal year-end financials in compliance with GAAP, ensuring proper allocation of expenses and income. • Manage capital investments and expenses, ensuring alignment with organizational growth targets. • Act as a liaison to the UWYC Finance Committee, coordinating meetings, producing financial reports, and leading strategic recommendations. • Lead and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors, and preparing financial data for audit and Form 990 completion. • Coordinate and oversee compliance programs related to endowment funds, Charitable Gift Annuities, and stock gifts, ensuring processes are aligned with donor intent, legal requirements, and effective stewardship. &nbsp;Grant Management (40%) • Support staff who oversee grants by providing pre-award, award, and post-award fiscal grant management; and working with program staff to ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Private grant reporting requirements. • Manage the grant disbursement process and reconciliation of fund balances to General Ledger and grant budgets. • Prepare and maintain a summary workbook for each grant, analyzing year-to-date spending, remaining balances, and areas of under/over utilization, with recommendations based on grant contracts. &nbsp;Administration (10%) • Collaborate with President and CEO to design and implement business strategies and procedures that align with organizational vision and financial goals. • Ensure an effective system of internal controls is in place, including developing and documenting financial policies and procedures. • Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment with the Accounting Coordinator. • Implement mitigation controls to address potential risks related to economic, tax, publicity, donor, and agency relations issues. • Stay up-to-date on relevant federal and state financial policies, legislation, and best practices for non-profits. • Refer regularly to the United Way Worldwide resources to learn about new policies and/or best practice recommendations. • Stay current on any federal/state policies or legislation that could affect non-profit accounting standards. &nbsp;Other Duties and Responsibilities • Provide assistance as needed to other UWYC programs and personnel. • Serve as a United Way of Yellowstone County ambassador at all times by communicating the mission and vision of United Way. • Perform other duties as assigned. &nbsp;QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field • At least five years of advanced accounting experience • Strong knowledge of GAAP and FASB guidance as applied to non-profit accounting • Experience with nonprofit organizations and federal, state, local government, and private grant management is preferred. • Proven experience in annual budgeting and long-term strategic financial planning. Purpose: The Resiliency Navigator supports the mission of El Paso United 

Family Resiliency Center by connecting clients and members of

resiliency in the wake of the shooting on August 3, 2019. The 
Resiliency Navigator supports the efforts United Way of El Paso 
County as the backbone of the Family Resiliency Center under the 
direction of the Director. 

 
 
MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
Case Management 

ï· Provision of holistic and comprehensive assessment, case management, crisis 
intervention and behavioral health services to clients including but not limited to 
intake assessment and ongoing problem-solving. 

ï· Provide referrals and resources to community members seeking support as a 
result of the tragic shooting on August 3, 2019. 

ï· Provide a warm hand-off for community members when making referrals to other 
agencies or partner programs. Follow up with agencies and clients, as 
appropriate. 

ï· Update a directory of resources and points of contact as necessary to provide 
accurate information to community members seeking support. 

ï· Maintain accurate records of clients seeking care and obstacles faced to 
continually provide feedback to the Director on the need for evolving programs 
and resources. 

ï· Document all referrals and partnerships to facilitate necessary follow-through and 
information-sharing. 


Outreach and Programming 

ï· Provide resources in community settings easily accessible to the general public, 
taking into account barriers in transportation, hours of service, and language, 
among others.

comfortable seeking care. 

ï· Plan and facilitate community and group events in partnership with local 
stakeholders including school districts, youth programs, City, County, and mental

ï· Represent UWEPC at any state, regional, and national conferences, forums, or

United Family Resiliency Center by convening partners to assess community 
needs and strategically execute programs in collaboration with partners.

vision of UWEPC Community Impact products and partnerships in relation to the 
El Paso United Family Resiliency Center. 

ï· Advocate for UWEPC Community Impact products with community partners and

Purpose: The Case Manager contributes to the achievement of United

programs. The Case Manager is responsible for providing 
needs assessment, service planning, and monitoring and 
evaluation of case management services to children and 
families enrolled in the Parents as Teachers Program, an 
evidence-based early childhood home visitation framework

who are healthy, safe and ready to learn.

The Parents as Teachers (PAT) Case Manager Responsibilities include: 

ï· Complete intake record and identify reasons for referral. 
ï· Assist participants enrolled in the PAT Program with basic needs. 
ï· Create and customize a service plan with each participant receiving case 

management services. 
ï· Monitor and evaluate the service plan as needed during services period. 
ï· Be in contact with the family monthly until terms on the service plan are 

addressed/provided/remedied.

suited/preferred to meet the needs of the PAT participants.

HubCAP Community Resource NavigatorPosition Summary The Community Resource Navigator will assist in the delivery of mobile, collaborative, place-based services to individuals living and working within Brown County through a new initiative called the HubCAP (Community Access Partnership). The position will be a crucial connector to help individuals and families who struggle to attain and maintain stability in their education, health, housing, and financial wellbeing. The position is full-time salaried with benefits and reports to the HubCAP Project Coordinator.
