POSITION SUMMARY To lead the continued implementation of the countywide Hunger Relief Strategic Plan (originally adopted in October 2015) to fight hunger and food insecurity in Palm Beach County. Job Summary 
 
The Clinic Resource Navigator is the direct liaison between the patients of the Lee Health 
Community Clinic and United Way 211 Information and Referral service which assists people 
seeking information and help from health and human service programs. It is the 
responsibility of the Clinic Resource Navigator to work with those in need of services to 
ensure that they receive prompt and accurate information regarding human services. This 
communication will often require problem solving and follow-up services. 

 
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions 

 
The major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 
 

 • Assimilate into clinic process to provide information and resources to patients visiting the 
clinic setting to help with human services needs. 

 • Educate clinic staff on resources available to clinic staff on resources available to clinic 
patients through 211 Navigator. 

 • Educate patients on available community resources and how to access those resources. 
 • Assist clinic patients in accessing resources as needed (through warm transfers, 

assistance with making phone calls, reaching out to resources/agencies directly on clinic 
patients’ behalf. 

 • Assist/screen clients applying for various programs including Affordable Healthcare, 
Help Me Grow, Mission United, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), Medicaid, and 
Food Stamps. 

 • Conduct comprehensive needs and service assessments via in-person, telephone, 
email, or IM/Chat.

Its mission is to Unite people and organizations to build a healthy, stable, and well-educated community where individuals, families, and neighborhoods thrive.About Learn with Playgroup: Learn with Playgroup is a free research-based learning experience for parents and their children ages 0-5 in Weber County. According to the Utah State Board of Education, two-thirds of children in Weber County do not attend preschool, making the first day of kindergarten their first day in a formal classroom setting. Learn with Playgroup helps children prepare for kindergarten and academic success by giving parents and their children the chance to attend a free two-hour playgroup each week.&nbsp;Parents and their children participate in guided play, stories, art, and some structured group activities. The experience exposes children to basic pre-K learning opportunities and increased socialization. Learn with Playgroup also offers social support for parents, provides them with information on community resources, and increases their involvement in their children’s education and development.Goal: United Way of Northern Utah (UWNU) is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual who is passionate about Early Childhood Education to serve as the Learn with Playgroups (LWP) Program Coordinator. The Learn with Playgroup program is a community-based program that leverages volunteers and community support which means that developing and maintaining community partnerships is an integral part of this position. This position will also focus heavily on growing our school-based Playgroup model as well as supporting our overall LWP program.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;Program Coordination<ul><li>Coordinate LWP groups and events with school admin, including principals, Community School Coordinators, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Punctually attend and actively participate in all required activities, events, meetings, and training representing United Way of Northern Utah in a positive and productive role.</li><li>Lead recruitment efforts to increase engagement and involvement of families within the service area of focus, including tracking and following up on needs-based referrals.</li><li>Coordinate intake of families including assigning families into appropriate playgroups.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong partnerships with schools and Ogden school district.</li><li>Support AmeriCorps members in managing families in school-based playgroups</li><li>Work with LWP Manager to secure additional schools where playgroups can be hosted to further grow the LWP program.</li><li>Collaborate with internal programs such as other early childhood programs, marketing, and the data team.</li><li>Support LWP Manager with overall program coordination and management especially in helping to&nbsp;support and supervise AmeriCorps members.</li></ul>Continuous Improvement &amp; Data Tracking<ul><li>Support the LWP Manager in gathering, inputting, and analyzing data on family engagement and program effectiveness</li><li>Assist and support the LWP Manager with tracking outcomes and performance measures and use information and progress towards outcomes and performance measures to inform program changes.&nbsp;</li><li>Support the LWP Manager in using Common Core State Early Learning Standards to inform the curriculum that will prepare students to be successful on PEEP Assessments.&nbsp;</li></ul>Required Competencies:<ul><li>Relationship Building: Ability to engage, motivate, cultivate, manage, and maintain positive relationships with community members, community partners, and colleagues.</li><li>Written and Verbal Communication: Strong ability to communicate in a friendly and effective manner with persons with diverse backgrounds (families, volunteers, team members) via phone, emails, verbal conversations, reports, and presentations.</li><li>Results-Driven: Dedicated to shared goals and measurable results leveraging strategies and innovations for broad investment and impact.&nbsp;</li><li>Project Management and Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.</li><li>Tech/Data Proficiency: Comfort with Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and tracking, managing, and analyzing program data using tools like Excel, databases, and data entry systems.</li><li>Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.</li><li>Problem-Solving: The ability to troubleshoot issues, resolve conflicts, and adapt to changes quickly in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Open to Feedback: Encourages a feedback-rich environment by soliciting input and fostering open communication within the team.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>2+ years of post-secondary education/training or equivalent experience in related field (child development, human services, social work, or related field.).</li><li>1 year project management experience</li><li>Ability to regularly travel throughout UWNU service area and occasionally work evenings and weekends</li><li>Submit and pass a full background check as required for program compliance (process to be completed before onboarding with UWNU)</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>4+ years of post-secondary education/training or equivalent experience in related field (child development, human services, social work, or related field.).</li><li>Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, elementary education, and/or family studies</li><li>Experience in providing services to culturally and economically diverse populations.</li><li>Experience with AmeriCorps program</li><li>Bi-lingual English/Spanish</li></ul>Compensation:Wage:&nbsp;$18.00 - 20.00/hour based on experience and qualifications.Benefits:&nbsp;Sick and vacation leave, paid holidays, 403(b) match up to 10% after 1 year&nbsp;Hours:&nbsp; Part-time, non-exempt, 20-25 hours per week. Position: RESOURCE SPECIALIST 

 
Reports To: Manager of Resiliency Center 
 
Purpose: The Community Resource Specialist supports the mission of 

United Way of El Paso County (UWEPC) by serving as the first 
point of contact for community members, partners, and volunteers 
engaging with the Resiliency Center. This role provides direct 
client support, ensures smooth administrative operations, and 
strengthens partnerships to enhance service delivery. The ideal 
candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to 
community resilience. 

 
 
MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 
Client Services 

ï· Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries via phone and the El Paso 

Helps platform. 

ï· Greet and assist community members, donors, volunteers, and partners. 

ï· Conduct participant intake and collect eligibility information. 

ï· Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants. 

ï· Keep an updated directory of community resources and partner contacts. 

ï· Accurately document participant interactions, referrals, and barriers to service. 

ï· Schedule appointments for participants, with Resiliency Navigators. 

ï· Track and log client data and feedback for continuous program improvement and 

reports. 

ï· Work from assigned site as needed. 

ï· Other duties as assigned

Administrative Support 

ï· Maintain and update a central database of partner and stakeholder contact 

information. 

ï· Manage phone lines, reception messaging, voicemail, and general inquiry 

emails. 

ï· Assist in meeting logistics: invites, RSVPs, vendor coordination, and calendar 

updates. 

ï· Track and report Center usage data and community engagement statistics. 

ï· Draft correspondence, reports, memos, and other written materials as needed. 

ï· Provide general administrative support to Center staff. 

Community Partnerships 

ï· Stay informed on programmatic and community initiatives. 
ï· Develop and maintain partnerships with local service providers and stakeholders. 
ï· Facilitate collaboration between community partners to meet evolving community 

needs. 
ï· Represent the Center in strategic meetings to help shape United Way’s impact 

strategies. 
ï· Promote and advocate for UWEPC programs and values through relationship 

building. 

Community Engagement 
 

ï· Collaborate with other United Way teams to deliver partner support. 

ï· Attend community events and represent United Way’s mission and initiatives. 

ï· Promote public awareness and cultivate support among local organizations and 

businesses. 

Qualifications 

ï· Associate degree in office administration, business, nonprofit management, 
social services, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and 
experience. 

ï· Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience. 

ï· Familiarity with nonprofit sector is a plus. 

ï· Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance. 

ï· Bilingual in English and Spanish required. 

ï· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

ï· Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and virtual meeting platforms. 

ï· Experience with case management or CRM systems preferred. 

ï· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally. 

ï· Excellent project coordination and data-driven decision-making skills.
