The Vice President of Impact Services provides leadership and overall direction to 211 Northwest Florida and the community impact work of United Way of West Florida. This position is responsible for the planning, development, management and implementation of strategies and investments to help improve programs and services to fulfill UWWF’s Mission, Vision, and Priorities. The VP of Impact Services ensures training curricula, policies, and processes are in place that meet 211, 988, and Veteran Support Line accreditation standards. The SVP/COO will lead operations, assisting the CEO in governance and 
corporate administrative matters, including business/strategic planning and 
organizational change efforts. The SVP/COO will provide supervision and 
oversight to staff teams and departments, in addition to representing the 
organization in the CEO’s absence in public meetings, events and with volunteers 
and other stakeholders to further United Way’s interests.

ï· Oversee the contract approval process to ensure contractual terms and cost effectiveness.

revenue projected. 

ï· Ensure accurate and detailed donor and account records in order to analyze deployment

throughout the Corporate Partnerships team; assess and evaluate areas of responsibility

This communication will require problem solving and follow-up services. This position will be cross-trained to 
facilitate 988 (formerly known as the Suicide Hotline) and Mission United (veteran-focused) calls and will also 
be required to complete associated certifications within three months of being eligible (Inform USA certified as 
well as additional 988-related trainings). 

 
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions 

 • Provides high quality Information and Referral Services to both individuals and agencies. 
 • Assists clients and agencies with problem solving to arrive at helpful solutions. Types of calls will include 

basic needs, mental health (possible suicide threats), homelessness and medical requests. 
 • Assist/screens clients applying for various programs including Affordable Healthcare, Help Me Grow, Mission 

United, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), Medicaid, and Food Stamps. 
 • Conducts comprehensive needs and service assessments via telephone, email or Text/Chat 
 • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality of client information. 
 • Accurately documents client assessments and referrals in program data system. 
 • Assists with the data management and quality assurance process of United Way 2-1-1 by: 

o Surveying agencies in the 2-1-1 database at regular intervals, but at least annually. 
o Updating existing agency and program profiles after reported changes have been verified in a timely 

manner upon receipt of submissions.

Additional management responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, and development.&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as the programmatic contact for school administrators and campus-based programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing engaging programming that supports the collective vision of community schools.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage data collection across the Community Partnership Schools (CPS) network of services at&nbsp;Hallandale Magnet High School.</li></ol>Other Job Duties: &nbsp;<ol><li>Demonstrate understanding of high-needs communities and knowledge of community organizing principles.&nbsp;</li><li>Build rapport with teachers, staff, parents, and community members to be an advocate for student and community needs.</li><li>Maintain accurate and complete student participation and engagement data.</li><li>Develop a volunteer network to support community schools.&nbsp;</li><li>Connect participants with expressed social service need to the Hallandale Beach CPS network and track referral satisfaction.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in event planning and direct logistics to include marketing, budgeting, and scheduling.&nbsp;</li><li>Establish annual team goals and objectives, track and report results.</li><li>Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.</li><li>Coach, support, and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.</li><li>Prepare written materials for the purposes of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead the Community Partnership School Operations Team.&nbsp;</li><li>Sit on school committees and contribute to a collaborative planning structure.</li><li>Present the Community Partnership School™ model to multiple stakeholders, including students, parents, and community leaders.</li><li>Follow and enforce district policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain program level budgets with regular financial recordkeeping.&nbsp;</li><li>As needed, work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.</li><li>Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities, as requested by supervisor.</li><li>Due to the leadership role United Way is called upon to play in the community, particularly during times of crisis, it is the expectation that all United Way staff will be fully engaged in the organization's crisis plan and response efforts.</li><li>Understands and respects the diversity of economic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds and situations.</li><li>Actively participate in the COA accreditation process.&nbsp;</li></ol>Supervises: Supervises CPS Coordinator Staff at Hallandale Magnet High School.Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:&nbsp;<ul><li>Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in an Education, Human Services, or Social Services related field and four years of combined experience in community outreach OR&nbsp; Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in an Education, Human Services, or Social Services related field and eight years of combined experience in community outreach.&nbsp;</li><li>Ten years of experience in children’s services, education, or community health with at least two of those years in program development and administration, may be supplemented for an accredited degree.</li><li>Prior Supervisor experience required.</li><li>Proficiency required in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task with a flexible, organized, and can-do attitude.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English required; Physical Demands:&nbsp;The environment is climate controlled (i.e., heated and air-conditioned).
