Purpose of Position:&nbsp;United Way of Northeast Florida (United Way) seeks a dynamic, mission-driven, and collaborative leader to serve as Vice President of Crisis and Community Navigation- a newly restructured, integrated crisis response hub that unites 211, 988, first responders, and veteran support services under one umbrella. This executive leader is responsible for building a proactive, integrated community support system that ensures individuals and families can access critical health and human services. This innovative center serves as the region’s front door for individuals and families in crisis, connecting them to vital community resources and real-time support.The Vice President will lead the center’s operations, strategic vision, and collaborative partnerships to create a closed-loop system&nbsp;that improves outcomes for people experiencing mental health, housing, financial, and behavioral health crises.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:&nbsp;Strategic Leadership:The Vice President, Crisis and Navigation Services plays a key strategic role in partnership with the Community Impact team and across the organization and clearly articulates the vision, role, scope and impact of United Way’s Crisis and Navigation Services portfolio of initiatives and investments. This position is a member of the executive leadership team and not only manages internal programming and investments but also plays a key role in working with funders, corporate leaders, the business community, the not-for-profit sector and the citizenry of our community to ensure that families have access to the resources needed.&nbsp;This strategic leader will work collaboratively with the executive team and the Board of Directors in strategy oversight for the organization in addition to crisis and navigation services.&nbsp;Strategic Leadership and Vision<ul><li>Provide leadership to initiatives that support United Way’s ALICE Promise, outcomes and goals, including 2-1-1, 988, Mission United, and any other emerging initiative related to Crisis and Navigation Services.</li><li>Anticipate emerging community trends and build responsive, future-ready systems for crisis and resource navigation.</li><li>Lead the strategic development and execution of United Way’s Crisis and Navigation Services in alignment with United Way’s mission and values.</li><li>Lead the seamless integration of 211, 988, and veteran support services within the Crisis and Navigation Services model.</li><li>Champion continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery models, technology systems, and data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Serve as spokesperson for Crisis and Navigation Services and represent United Way at local, state, and national forums on crisis response.</li><li>Continuously assess, analyze, and benchmark business models within the United Way network and other networks to support development and refinement of effective, innovative operations.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Serve as lead staff person for United Way’s disaster relief efforts including the First Coast Relief Fund.</li><li>Serve as liaison to community’s Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), Northeast Florida (NEFL) Long Term Disaster Recovery groups, City of Jacksonville’s Emergency Operation Center.</li><li>Assist United Way in its communications to internal and external stakeholders of ongoing efforts.</li><li>Ensure proper management of fiscal reporting and budgets to appropriate stakeholders.</li></ul>Communication – In partnership with Marketing and Communications ensure that a robust communication/marketing plan is developed and executed to raise awareness of mental health and financial stability issues, successes, and opportunities. Provide leadership in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.&nbsp;Advocacy/Public Policy - Identify and monitor legislation pertaining to issues that impact United Way’s community health and financial stability work; build relationships with key elected officials to help support long term efforts and to position United Way as a subject matter expert and resource.&nbsp;Working with Community Partners – Coordinate research and other activities with initiative partners to minimize redundancies and align strategies and actions, including conducting individual outreach and education as needed. REPORTS TO: President and CEO 
 
PURPOSE: The Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer (SVP/COO) supports the 

mission of United Way of El Paso County (UWEPC) by leading a team of 
passionate and committed individuals to develop and sustain deep redesign of its 
strategy and operations. 

 
The SVP/COO will lead operations, assisting the CEO in governance and 
corporate administrative matters, including business/strategic planning and 
organizational change efforts. The SVP/COO will provide supervision and 
oversight to staff teams and departments, in addition to representing the 
organization in the CEO’s absence in public meetings, events and with volunteers 
and other stakeholders to further United Way’s interests. 

 
 
POSITION OVERVIEW: 

Demonstrate ability to think strategically about the unique role, approaches and contributions of 
United Way of El Paso County. 

Ability to develop and implement United Way’s overall business/organizational strategy, 
integrating the functional areas into highly effective community impact response to critical 
community needs. 

Have extensive experience in leading high-performing teams (volunteers and staff) in the design 
and delivery of results-based, high-profile, large-scale initiatives, programs and advocacy/public 
policy efforts. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Provide leadership and management to a high-performing team of volunteers, staff and 
community members by clarifying priorities, creating and monitoring progress towards 
organizational and individual goals. Working closely with the CEO and Board, direct the 
cultivation, solicitation, execution, and stewardship of UWEPC’s resources. 
 
Philanthropy and Engagement 

ï· Assist the implementation of corporate partnerships and their employees through new 
engagement opportunities, existing initiatives and lead the change management process 
for a successful philanthropy transformation.

secure new mutually beneficial partnerships across a variety of industries and sectors.

employee engagement, event attendance, communications, etc.

printed corporate giving assets to promote our work, elevate our existing partners, and

Administrative/Operations Functions 

ï· Oversight of Human Resources functions, including establishing staff benefits and policies 
designed for attracting and retaining qualified staff. 

ï· Manage, coach, and develop staff leaders. 

ï· Perform duties in accordance with UWEPC policies and procedures 

ï· Manage department budget and expenses including planning and management of budget 
line items for specific outcomes. 

ï· Direct and manage employees, interns, consultants, and volunteers.

ï· Counsel and assist staff in professional growth and development within UWEPC and the 
community. Conduct timely performance evaluations.

basis, present results and challenges to board and senior staff. 
 

Budgeting and Risk Management 

ï· Assist in establishing an annual budget plan. 

ï· Evaluate budget reports vs. actual results and recommend corrective action as required. 

ï· Oversee the contract approval process to ensure contractual terms and cost effectiveness. 

ï· Participate in the financial internal control system as required. 

ï· Manage progress towards revenue goals throughout the year, providing monthly 
projections against goal, with a strong emphasis on understanding and follow-up of 
revenue projected. 

ï· Ensure accurate and detailed donor and account records in order to analyze deployment 
of resources against objectives; assign relationship management responsibilities 
throughout the Corporate Partnerships team; assess and evaluate areas of responsibility 
and adjust resources across all industries and portfolios as needed to drive increased

Minimum Qualifications-- Experience/Position Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, social sciences, non-profit management, or

Project LIFT is a community-driven initiative focused on empowering families financially through collaborative efforts with diverse partners across the region.This role serves as a central support within the Project LIFT Network to manage successful network operations, ensure quality data collection and reporting, and promote effective process and process improvement.&nbsp;General Function:<ul><li>Facilitate Effective Network Processes: Collaborate with the Senior Manager to ensure alignment and connectivity among Project LIFT Network partners.
