
Revenue Assurance Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY
(Eligible for Hybrid/ 3 days in office - Alexandria, VA)
The position is responsible for performing various duties associated with the donation revenue cycle, accounts receivable, billings and collection. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations as it relates to gift application all forms of receipt (checks, cash, credit cards, securities, in-kind gifts), and analysis to ensure that contributions are recognized accurately and in a timely manner. The analyst will also be responsible for issuing invoices quarterly related to the membership dues. The analyst will also conduct research and investigation for payments with incomplete information or require special handling.
The analyst must be a motivated self-starter in communicating and building strong relationships with internal and external partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION
- Process donor gifts as well as complex transactions to include stock gifts, matching gifts, in-kind gifts, bequests, charitable gift annuity, and donor advisement funds.
- Manage online giving and payment gateway platforms.
- Analyze gifts and accompanying documentation to determine appropriate handling and accounting recognition.
- Perform a variety of complex duties associated with gift processing, which include answering donor questions, working with financial institutions and external parties, working cross-functionally within the organization as it relates to gifts and donor terms.
- Manage the membership dues invoice and collections process which include dues calculations, membership mergers management, billing schedules and payment plan adjustments, trouble shooting and overall membership support for domestic and international members.
- Generate and analyze financial reports for revenue and aging accounts receivable to support communication with leadership and external parties.
- Collaborate with the accounting and fundraising department to ensure that accurate and timely data is shared between the accounting software (NetSuite) and customer relationship management system (Salesforce).
- Partner with cross function teams to support system enhancement projects, assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements, participate in user acceptance testing for implementations related to revenue cycle integrations and configurations.
- Perform account reconciliation of the bank activity and accounts receivable to the general ledger on a monthly basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 2 or more years of experience in Accounts Receivable with a customer base of about 1,000.
- Proven knowledge of revenue accounting and reporting, and an understanding of how application of donor gifts and accounts receivable should be recorded on the general ledger. Experience with non-profit accounting preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with an accounting system. NetSuite experience a plusifying risks and issues and react timely to implement solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail with focus on minimizing errors; ability to conduct research to ensure accuracy.
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively while delivering quality outcome to stakeholder.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude. Works well with all levels of management and colleagues as well as outside donors, members and vendors.

SALARY STATEMENT
The budgeted salary range for this position is currently $75,000 to $80,000 per year. Salary is determined by several factors including applicant’s knowledge, skills, experience, position, equity, and market.
