Position: RESOURCE SPECIALIST

Reports To: Manager of Resiliency Center Purpose: The Community Resource Specialist supports the mission of

United Way of El Paso County (UWEPC) by serving as the first point of contact for community members, partners, and volunteers engaging with the Resiliency Center. This role provides direct client support, ensures smooth administrative operations, and strengthens partnerships to enhance service delivery. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to community resilience.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Services

 Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries via phone and the El Paso

Helps platform.

 Greet and assist community members, donors, volunteers, and partners.

 Conduct participant intake and collect eligibility information.

 Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.

 Keep an updated directory of community resources and partner contacts.

 Accurately document participant interactions, referrals, and barriers to service.

 Schedule appointments for participants, with Resiliency Navigators.

 Track and log client data and feedback for continuous program improvement and

reports.

 Work from assigned site as needed.

 Other duties as assigned

Administrative Support

 Maintain and update a central database of partner and stakeholder contact

information.

 Manage phone lines, reception messaging, voicemail, and general inquiry

emails.

 Assist in meeting logistics: invites, RSVPs, vendor coordination, and calendar

updates.

 Track and report Center usage data and community engagement statistics.

 Draft correspondence, reports, memos, and other written materials as needed.

 Provide general administrative support to Center staff.

Community Partnerships

 Stay informed on programmatic and community initiatives.  Develop and maintain partnerships with local service providers and stakeholders.  Facilitate collaboration between community partners to meet evolving community

needs.  Represent the Center in strategic meetings to help shape United Way’s impact

strategies.  Promote and advocate for UWEPC programs and values through relationship

building.

Community Engagement

 Collaborate with other United Way teams to deliver partner support.

 Attend community events and represent United Way’s mission and initiatives.

 Promote public awareness and cultivate support among local organizations and

businesses.

Qualifications

 Associate degree in office administration, business, nonprofit management, social services, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience.

 Familiarity with nonprofit sector is a plus.

 Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance.

 Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

 Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and virtual meeting platforms.

 Experience with case management or CRM systems preferred.

 Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

 Excellent project coordination and data-driven decision-making skills.

Job Classification: Full time/Non-Exempt Salary Range: $34,000 - $37,500 Classification: Full-Time, Exempt Benefits: Health, Dental, Life Insurance, Retirement Contributions
