Job Description

Title: Resource Development

Reports To: Community Relations Manager

Objective: To generate financial resources to meet the organization's

mission and goals

Duties And Responsibilities:

  1. Develop & manage year-round fundraising plans and timetables, set goals and projections, and develop strategies for growth.
  2. Organize fundraising structure as needed to respond to changes in the workplace, direct mail appeals and economic trends.
  3. Cultivate donors, including leadership givers, corporate supporters, and other investors.
  4. Develop major gift strategies that align with the organization's long-term goals.
  5. Research and write grants.
  6. Develop a planned giving program.
  7. Effectively present information, through public speaking and presentations.
  8. Maintain donor records through collaboration with staff.
  9. Coordinate and conduct workplace campaigns.
  10. Maintain knowledge of local, political, social, and economic factors that will impact agency fundraising.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, sales, social work, or related field required. Master's degree a plus.
  2. 3-5 years' experience in non-profit fundraising, grant writing and planned giving.
  3. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  4. Team player and multi-tasker.
  5. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  6. Valid Michigan driver's license.
  7. Must be able to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
