UWCI is seeking a compassionate and experienced leader with a community mindset to join its senior leadership team as the next Chief Community Impact Officer (CCIO). This leader will define UWCI’s role in the community, establishing both short- and long-term milestones to achieve the organization’s and department’s impact goals based on data, a solid community-informed framework, constituent input, and strategic maps. The CCIO will advance UWCI’s mission of improving lives by leading community engagement and managing United Way resources to execute on the organization’s UNITED to THRIVE strategies. This leader will be focused on strategy and systemic solutions and proactively work with volunteers, community partners, government, labor, faith-based organizations, residents, and staff in visioning, identifying the strategies, and executing UWCI’s intentional role in community-building activities. The CCIO position will be central to discussions around critical community issues. &nbsp;

Chief Community Impact Officer 

United Way of Johnson County Executive Director serves as the primary leader and strategist for the organization, overseeing it’s overall operations, growth and impact to the community to advance the organizations mission to organize caring people to identify and meet human needs in our community.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee all fundraising and advancement efforts including annual residential and workplace campaigns, grant seeking opportunities, event-based fundraising and supporter acquisition and cultivation efforts.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee all grantmaking efforts from the solicitation of applications and the convening of community allocation and review panels to the eventual disbursement of funds.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee the management of financial resources, including accurate record keeping, regular reporting, and budgeting.</li><li>Oversee all marketing efforts, including fostering positive relationships with agency partners, business leaders, government entities, and current and prospective donors.</li><li>Oversee all United Way of Johnson County programming, including, Fast Track, Day of Caring, and Christmas Angels, No Place to Call Home and Helpline.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee all United Way of Johnson County&nbsp; &nbsp;staff and volunteers including building and leading high-performing teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration to achieve organizational results.&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with United Way of Johnson County Board of Directors to achieve strategic initiatives.</li><li>Serve as a champion for the United Way of Johnson County’s work and impact within the community.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science&nbsp;</li><li>Five (5) years of management experience&nbsp;</li><li>Experience on issues relevant to the organization, such as work force development, financial stability and poverty</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive organizational success</li><li>Proven ability to build teams, develop partnerships and build collaboration</li><li>Must demonstrate a high level of intelligence and intellectual curiosity and a desire to explore new ideas and innovative approaches to solving problems</li><li>Project and/or program management experience with a demonstrated ability to develop, implement and execute to achieve desired outcomes</li><li>Passion for social impact and Community Service</li><li>Proven track record of integrity with a demonstrated ability to build trust</li></ul>The Ideal Candidate<ul><li>Previous or current United Way Experience</li><li>Bachelor of Arts or Science in a related field</li><li>Five plus years of management experience in the non-profit sector</li><li>Johnson County Resident</li><li>Expertise on issues relevant to the organization, such as work force development, financial stability and poverty</li><li>All other items listed above</li></ul>
