POSITION: RESILIENCY NAVIGATOR
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Community Resiliency Purpose: The Resiliency Navigator supports the mission of El Paso United
Family Resiliency Center by connecting clients and members of the community with resources to help promote healing and resiliency in the wake of the shooting on August 3, 2019. The Resiliency Navigator supports the efforts United Way of El Paso County as the backbone of the Family Resiliency Center under the direction of the Director.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Case Management
ï· Provision of holistic and comprehensive assessment, case management, crisis intervention and behavioral health services to clients including but not limited to intake assessment and ongoing problem-solving.
ï· Provide referrals and resources to community members seeking support as a result of the tragic shooting on August 3, 2019.
ï· Provide a warm hand-off for community members when making referrals to other agencies or partner programs. Follow up with agencies and clients, as appropriate.
ï· Update a directory of resources and points of contact as necessary to provide accurate information to community members seeking support.
ï· Maintain accurate records of clients seeking care and obstacles faced to continually provide feedback to the Director on the need for evolving programs and resources.
ï· Document all referrals and partnerships to facilitate necessary follow-through and information-sharing.
Outreach and Programming
ï· Provide resources in community settings easily accessible to the general public, taking into account barriers in transportation, hours of service, and language, among others.

ï· Provide a welcoming and safe environment for community members to feel comfortable seeking care.
ï· Plan and facilitate community and group events in partnership with local stakeholders including school districts, youth programs, City, County, and mental health institutions.
ï· Represent UWEPC as the face of community recovery efforts related to the shooting incident on August 3rd, 2019.
ï· Represent UWEPC at any state, regional, and national conferences, forums, or meetings, as appropriate.
ï· Collect, track, and report data related to the usage of the Center and services provided. Provide recurring updates and progress reports to UWEPC and partners on the services offered by the Center as well as the use by community members.
ï· Collect, track, and report expenses incurred by the Center in an effort to provide services to the community, to include donations, grants, and in-kind resources.
Community Partnerships
ï· Maintain working knowledge of the status of programs, engagement, and initiatives to fully participate and provide status updates, when necessary.
ï· Seek and maintain strong community partnerships with local service providers and potential supporters.
ï· Cultivate a strong collaborative of response and engagement in the El Paso United Family Resiliency Center by convening partners to assess community needs and strategically execute programs in collaboration with partners.
ï· Participate in recurring program and strategic meetings to assist in shaping the vision of UWEPC Community Impact products and partnerships in relation to the El Paso United Family Resiliency Center.
ï· Advocate for UWEPC Community Impact products with community partners and stakeholders. Research new programs and services that may be relevant to the mission and values of UWEPC.
ï· Develop and cultivate successful strategic business/personal relationships.
ï· Facilitate relationships with potential sub-contractors for direct services to clients including reporting, and information-sharing.

Community Engagement
ï· Work effectively with other teams at UWEPC to provide appropriate support and value to partners. Leverage relationships to create additional opportunities with other organizations and individuals.
ï· Foster creative thinking and facilitate future partnerships within corporate accounts.
ï· Attend key community events and activities as a way to promote United Way of El Paso County’s mission, vision and core values becoming a defined community ambassador for United Way.
ï· Cultivate community support for United Way by maintaining contacts with local organizations, businesses and individuals.

Results Results are integral to the direction and the long and short-term success of community engagement. QUALIFICATIONS – KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in subjects related to health and human services, non-profit or organizational management, public relations, communications, marketing, or social services, plus three years of work experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to the duties of the position.
Must be able to pass a background check. Knowledge of the non-profit sector is essential. Skills in grant management, program management, case management and/or volunteer engagement are desired. Skills and Demonstrated Abilities
ï· Strong leadership, verbal, and written communication skills; and strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
ï· Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications,
ï· Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram.
ï· Must possess the ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate multiple projects and staff.
ï· Ability to develop and execute strategic plans with multiple, complex tasks and projects.
ï· Deep understanding of program performance measurement techniques, performance metrics, and evaluation principles.

Other Requirements
Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the possibility of early morning, evening, and weekend work. Valid Texas or New Mexico driver’s license, insurance and vehicle required.
