JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Part-Time Marketing, Communication and Special Events Coordinator

REPORTS TO: President WAGE: $23/hour OBJECTIVE: The Marketing and Communication Coordinator is responsible for the corporate

image of the organization through product development, public relations, marketing, communication, and special events.

Location: This job is for Plymouth, Michigan

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and update marketing plans and special events calendar, with short and long-range goals.
• Develop and distribute press releases and marketing correspondence.
• Maintain media database and relevant contact lists for marketing and volunteers.
• Develop social media plan, maintain information for social media.
• Coordinate all special events.
• Develop various types of marketing, special events and campaign materials (brochures, posters,

video, Constant Contact)
• Participate in public speaking engagements.
• Attend agency fairs, business mixers and Chamber events.
• Assist with campaign as needed or required.
• Maintain website with current information.
• Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor’s Degree, with 1- 3 years’ experience, in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Social

Work or related field.

2. Excellent oral and written communication skills

3. Ability to multitask and prioritize.

4. Ability to accomplish tasks with little supervision.

5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

6. Must be able to work evenings and weekends occasionally.

7. Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Canva

8. Valid Michigan driver’s license

9. Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
