Nonprofit Connection (NPC) Director

United Way of Northern Utah (UWNU) seeks a knowledgeable, strategic, and dynamic leader who will guide United Way’s Nonprofit Connection program and oversee our Behnken Nonprofit Learning Campus. Formed in early 2021, the Nonprofit Connection program seeks to generate increasingly meaningful growth and results for nonprofit organizations in Northern Utah, helping them build their organizational capability and capacity through various efforts. Efforts will be focused on Weber, Morgan, Box Elder, Cache, and Rich counties. In this role, you will direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Nonprofit Connection program and serve as a critical thought partner in developing new initiatives, professional development offerings, and organizational support services. We are searching for a candidate who demonstrates the ability to lead initiatives and work independently as needed.

This position strengthens the people and systems that help local nonprofits thrive, enabling them to stay focused on their mission. We do not expect the Director to be an expert in every operational area. Instead, we seek someone skilled at bringing together the right partners, resources, and training to build nonprofit capacity. Our supports focus on core organizational functions—ranging from fundraising and governance to HR, finance, evaluation, and more—and are designed to help nonprofits grow and perform at their best.
