MISSION UNITED PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The Mission United Program Coordinator is responsible for the success of Mission United, an initiative of United Way of the CSRA. This program is dedicated to supporting those who have served and their families. The emphasis is on providing care coordination to connect them with essential health and human services. The coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Mission United Veteran Services Navigators, ensuring effective resource distribution, and tracking client outcomes. Additionally, the coordinator will foster and manage partnerships with stakeholders that help connect veterans to vital services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Mission United Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include managing the Mission United program, recruiting and overseeing volunteers, ensuring compliance requirements to funders are met, public awareness, building community partnerships, and handling program reporting and documentation.
- Program Coordination:
- Manage daily operations of the Mission United program.
- Monitor and assist in developing a program budget to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation.
- Handle administrative duties related to public relations.
- Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer Navigators, ensuring they effectively serve veterans in need of assistance.
- Organize and lead Navigator orientations and training sessions.
- Maintain a positive, supportive environment for volunteers.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records, including client interactions and outcomes, volunteer hours, and program activities.
- Submit all necessary documentation, forms, and reports as required by funders.
- Program Reporting and Evaluation:
- Track and report key performance metrics (volunteer engagement, client satisfaction, program outcomes).
- Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between volunteers, clients, and United Way.
- Other Duties:
- Attend meetings, trainings, and events related to the Mission United program.
- Collaborate with community partners to improve program operations and identify new opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in program coordination and volunteer management.
- U.S. military veteran or immediate family member of a military service member (active duty, retired, or reservist) from any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, including the Coast Guard and National Guard, preferred.
- Experience working with veterans or veteran-related services is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); remote work tools experience is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Reports to the Director of Community Impact
- Will be located at the First Stop
- Attending resource events is a must. Requires the ability to setup at event locations
- Reliable transportation is required.
Salary Range - $38,000 - $40,000

- Employee pays $40/pay period for single coverage for medical, dental and vision insurance.
- 11 paid holidays and 3 weeks accrued PTO annually
- $30/month Remote Supplement
