PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will support the mission of UWNCNM through the coordination and administration of the Marketing and Communications functions and activities. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the activities of the Marketing department, including supporting meetings, social media writing/posting, and tracking of projects and analytics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support Director of Marketing in development and execution of marketing strategies and annual marketing plan
- Coordinate with Director of Marketing to identify and implement strategies for improved inter- and intra-departmental communication (utilize Net Notes)
- Coordinate projects for annual campaign development, Annual Report and other publications, video production and other large-scale projects.
- Establish and track metrics to demonstrate progress toward marketing goals
- Track/account for all agreed upon marketing benefits with partners, 3rd party vendors, sponsors, etc. concerning UWNCNM marketing efforts
- Main note taker at marketing meetings and/or other UWNCNM meetings for the marketing department
- Track all marketing team members required trainings/professional development sessions
- Hold all marketing team members accountable for KPI/production monthly updates
- Coordinate and implement marketing and inter-department staff meetings to communicate internal work, goals and progress
- Coordinate/direct all marketing requests (by form submission or other communication methods) to the appropriate party and update marketing team calendar with required deadlines, follow-up with team member to track progress and update any benefit agreement tracking information
- Support team in organizing and tracking projects and campaigns by adding dates/deadlines, meetings/touchpoints to marketing team calendars
- Execute administrative tasks to ensure department coordination of activities and functions
- Utilize email and calendar to support individual and team efforts
- Assist with conducting market research and/or help develop engaging innovative marketing strategies
- Employ marketing research to gather data, compile and track web analytics, etc.
- Create/maintain all marketing department records on SharePoint
- Gatekeeper of all marketing information
- Assist in organizing promotional events and traditional/digital campaigns and contribute to their success
- Compose content for UWNCNM’s social media accounts
- Assist with writing copy for marketing collateral
- Assist with preparation of marketing presentations and/or collect video/picture/image content for organizational use
- Communicate directly with donors, volunteers, agencies and/or stakeholders to encourage trusting relationships
- Work in team settings with internal and external customers and encompass a desire to exceed the customer/donor expectations
- Track all vendor, company, agency interactions
- Track all key performance indicators and assigned report coverage
- Contributes to the organizational shared goal of raising funds to support the mission and initiatives.
- Compose and post on-line content on UWNCNM’s website and social media accounts
- Assist with writing copy for marketing collateral
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS [EDUCATION]:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in marketing, analytics or statistics, communications, or related field.
- 1-3 years of digital marketing experience
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with diverse social/economic audiences in groups and one-on-one. Proven effective oral communication and writing skills required
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, showing initiative, creativity, self-discipline, effective time and project management skills, as well as ability to work closely with and support UWNCNM staff and volunteer teams, community leaders, donors, and other partners
- Must have strong knowledge and proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- A commitment to the philanthropic sector, the quality of life for residents of central New Mexico and the vison and mission of UWNCNM.
- Proficiency in email marketing and marketing automation technology.
- Experience using Email Service Provider tool: Constant Contact.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms.
- Experience with social media planner platforms (Hootsuite, Story Light, Planoly, etc.)
- Strong understanding of email and social media marketing concepts and metrics.
- Ability to work self-directed, under pressure in a fast-paced, driven environment, implementing last-minute changes as needed.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, creative, analytical and takes initiative.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and generate, review and analyze data.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, project, time management and analytical skills.
- Excellent writer and communicator (in both the written and verbal form).
- Solid understanding of web metrics and digital analytics.
- Proficient with technology including multiple videoconferencing software platforms (such as Zoom) and Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient in internet navigation and online research using modern web browsers to gather, verify, and utilize information effectively for job-related tasks
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and practical experience with AI, including data analysis, AI driven decision making, and the application of AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and innovation
EQUIPMENT USED:
- PC and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copy machine, printer, scanner, fax machine).
- Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Videoconferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.), Internet and web browsers for research and information gathering
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS/DEXTERITY:
United Way of North Central New Mexico is a hybrid workplace. For this position, the schedule combines work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with in-person office attendance within UWNCNM’s office building required on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Due to business needs, you may occasionally be required to work in office on days other than specified. Additionally, the hybrid work schedule is subject to change to 100% in office work at any time. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Position requires long periods of sitting at a desk and computer to accomplish duties and to stand for limited periods of time.
- Regular attendance is required in this position.
- Must be able to operate a personal computer at an acceptable rate of speed.
- Must have access to reliable internet when working from home.
- Must be able to view computer monitors.
- Must be able to work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends including but not limited to attending a variety of meetings and events at UWNCNM and in the community.
- Must have the flexibility to adapt schedule to meet evolving business needs as necessary.
- Must possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license and have daily access to a dependable enclosed motor vehicle, with current auto insurance in your own name, to use to be physically present for in-office workdays and to attend offsite events, meetings, and other work activities.
- Must be able to commute to the United Way of North Central New Mexico office building on designated in office days.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation.
LOCATION: Must be a New Mexico resident and able to commute to the UWNCNM office building on designated in office workdays to attend a variety of meetings and events at UWNCNM and in the community.
SALARY RANGE:
$24.00 to $27.00 per hour, non-exempt, 32 hours per week FTE (Full Time Employee).
