The Manager, Philanthropic Engagement creates and implements volunteer engagement plans that strengthen relationships with community members in support of United Way Suncoast’s Community Impact initiatives.

Objectives:

  • Recruits' community members to volunteer through our annual Weeks of Service and other engagement opportunities that support United Way Suncoast and other strategic community partners.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to identify and create meaningful engagement opportunities for individual and/or group volunteers.
  • Communicates with external community partners to identify volunteer needs that align with United Way Suncoast’s mission and the community centered volunteer approach.
  • Manages accurate data in the CRM for volunteers and external nonprofit partners and generates reports.
  • Participates in committees, serves as spokesperson, and creates and delivers presentations to deliver key messages on local, regional, and national platforms.
  • Supports volunteer recognition efforts.
  • May contribute to budgets and forecasting; effectively manages resources.
  • Develops and refines processes to improve efficiency and achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Consistently demonstrates Our Suncoast Code and Values including applicable elements of leading self, team, and organization.

Qualifications & Skills for Success:

  • Typically requires four (4) or more years of relevant experience, including management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; equivalent training or experience may be accepted in lieu.
  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours.
  • Ability to work in the field extensively within the Suncoast region.
  • Bilingual or multilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) a plus.
