Manager, Evaluation and Reporting (GGRF)

United Way Worldwide (UWW) seeks a detailed-oriented Manager, Evaluation and Reporting. This role will manage an emerging portfolio of work in the climate change, clean energy and disaster relief program areas to help communities around the world become more resilient. The Manager, Evaluation and Reporting will serve on the UWW Government Partnerships team, leading the monitoring and evaluation activities for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) grant program.
United Way Worldwide is a member of the Power Forward Coalition (PFC) and has been awarded an $80-million grant to implement a 7-year national initiative.
The ideal candidate will have extensive program evaluation experience, a strong knowledge of federal grant administration protocols, proficiency in utilizing cloud-based solutions such as SharePoint, OneDrive and MS Teams, CRMs, and Grants Management Systems (GMS). The role will entail Salesforce reporting, quality assurance and compliance, and project management responsibilities.
The Manager of Program Evaluation and Reporting will report to the Director of Program Operations and will work collaboratively with other members of the United Way Worldwide Team, as well as external coalition partners and an array of community stakeholders.
Please note that this position is subject to government funding availability. Although the award has been made, it is important to acknowledge that funding allocations and external factors beyond our control may impact this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION
Program Evaluation and Grant Reporting:
- Lead a full range of data collection, compliance, grant monitoring and evaluation workstreams.
- Manage GGRF program data and reporting via Salesforce and Grant Management System (GMS) portals.
- Prepare detailed program evaluation and subrecipient progress reports. Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual outcome reports.
- Implement qualitative and quantitative data management protocols.
Grant Compliance/Quality Assurance:
- Manage data collection and program compliance workstreams and participate in Compliance and Reporting Working Group (CRWG).
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with coalition and federal Uniform Guidance requirements.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental leads to inform subrecipient grant evaluation, data collection, and performance metrics.
- Maintain quality assurance standards of subrecipient data collection, assess accuracy, and identify risk and non-compliance concerns.
- Serve as the quality assurance management lead, UWW Business Review Process (BRP) content lead, and GGRF evaluation subject matter expert.
Other duties
- Support development of quality assurance guidance and training for program staff and subrecipients to ensure compliance with relevant federal grant evaluation standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in a similar role in a related field performing similar duties, ideally in nonprofit grants, data and program evaluation.
- Experience working collaboratively with federal, community, and nonprofit partnerships.
- Knowledge of federal grant and/or national program evaluation experience highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing Zoom, MS Teams, Grant Management System (GMS), and related online platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Power Point, and Excel, and cloud-based solutions such as SharePoint and OneDrive for document management.
- Strong analytical and research skills: Attention to detail with a focus on minimizing errors and mitigating risk.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate proactively regarding project status, barriers, and possible solutions.
- Ability to provide effective feedback, manage up and horizontally, and initiate project efficiencies.
- Excellent project management skills, including time management, and the ability to complete multiple high priority tasks within limited time constraints.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Strong leadership skills and a sense of teamwork that builds positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, a willingness to help others bridge knowledge or resource gaps, and an innate ability to collaborate cross functionally to ensure project outcomes are met.

SALARY STATEMENT
The budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is currently $85,000-$95,000 per year. Salary is determined by several factors including applicant’s knowledge, skills, experience, position, equity, and market.
