Position Overview:
The Manager of Corporate Partnerships is an integral part of the Corporate Partnerships team within the Development division, charged with securing funds from leading corporations and strengthening relationships within the portfolio. The Manager will support the work of the Corporate Partnerships team and serve as the key liaison between the Individual Giving team and other organizational departments such as Finance and Marketing & Communications.
The Manager will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships and will help drive accountability for the team's plan to engage the corporate community across all United Way donor acquisition models (corporate model, workplace campaigns, leadership events, affinity groups, community engagement, etc.). The successful candidate has experience working within nonprofit development or business development, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and has a desire to help build and strengthen key external relationships across the region.
The outward-facing role requires the candidate to have business development or fund development experience, leadership abilities, and willingness to open doors to personal and professional networks to drive new investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio/Revenue generation
- The Manager will manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, working to build relationships and supporting corporate campaign managers and CSR leaders in the planning and execution of successful fundraising initiatives. Develop goals for managing and raising funds, with a focus on unrestricted dollars.
- Using a project management approach and coordinating an internal project team, the Manager of Corporate Partnerships will oversee a portfolio of corporate partnerships, focusing on corporate philanthropy, workplace giving campaigns, and event sponsorships
- In addition to implementing a relationship management strategy, the manager is expected to contribute to setting annual fundraising targets for each corporate partnership.
- The Manager will also be responsible for developing and activating lists of new prospective partners, including identifying key senior executives, corporate campaign managers and CSR leaders for outreach from the Corporate Partnerships team.
- Internal communication: Based off indications from relationships with corporate partners the Manager is expected to provide monthly projections against goal, with a strong emphasis on understanding and follow-up of revenue projected but not yet processed.
Relationship/Volunteer Management
- The Manager will manage the work of numerous United Way volunteer fundraising groups including, but not limited to the Real Estate, Private Equity/Venture Capital, and Emerging Leaders committees. The Manager will govern the project plan for various committees' work. The Manager will coordinate and prepare for all committee meetings with strategic oversight provided by the senior members of the Development team. Additionally, the manager will serve as regular point of contact as they engage external stakeholders.
- Attend and participate in community events to strengthen United Way's presence and establish and grow relationships.
Administrative & Team Collaboration
- The Manager must be able to work successfully across the Development Department and other UW departments to coordinate and communicate support needs/requests and be able to maximize time in the community.
- Must be able to engage in weekly team meetings, monthly division meetings, and organization-sponsored training and team-building events.
- Taking on additional projects as needed to ensure success of the Development Division's strategic priorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred and a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development or business development setting
- Possess strong knowledge of CRM systems and reporting and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong customer service skills and detailed knowledge of customer relationship management and demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to relate to a diverse group of individuals or organizations effectively.

Salary range
