Job Summary

The IT Systems Analyst, reporting to the Associate Vice President of Information Technology & Operations, serves as a primary on-site IT resource for UWTSA. This role is responsible for delivering hands-on technical support across the organization, ranging from day-to-day user support to troubleshooting, system administration, and basic network support.

This individual performs a wide range of Information Technology tasks to ensure the reliable delivery of technology services with minimal disruption to business operations. Responsibilities include proactively monitoring and supporting systems; coordinating, assisting, and training staff in the use of computer hardware, software, and peripherals; and utilizing diagnostic tools to support IT projects and resolve technical issues.

The IT Systems Analyst operates independently with minimal supervision, supporting day-to-day IT operations and maintaining effective support workflows. This role requires strong analytical thinking and sound technical judgment to troubleshoot issues, determine appropriate solutions, and escalate when necessary. The position also includes coordination of vendors and facility-related activities to help maintain a functional and efficient workplace environment.

Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000/annually DOE

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of existing systems, gather requirements with stakeholders, and assist in the implementation and support of new or modified systems.
  • Conduct live or recorded training sessions for staff, volunteers, and board members.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for personal computer hardware, software, cloud applications, mobile devices, and audio/visual systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server and PC software, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, implement corrective actions, and escalate to specialized staff or vendor support when appropriate.
  • Administer user accounts, access controls, and information security policies.
  • Develop and maintain procedural documentation; perform root cause analysis and resolve IT issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with technical and systems administration projects as assigned.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Support day-to-day IT operations, including responding to helpdesk requests and ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Provide guidance and support to IT interns or junior staff, assisting with training and task coordination.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and property management for IT and facility-related needs.
  • Serve as one of the on-site contacts for vendor visits, ensuring work is completed and communicated effectively.
  • Support general workplace operations through coordination and light hands-on tasks as needed.
  • Assist with office moves, workstation setups, and physical space adjustments.
  • Assist with IT asset tracking and inventory management (excluding direct procurement responsibilities).
  • Support data processing and reporting functions as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Additional certifications that exemplify a desire for continued education preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Information Technology Operations, preferably as a Business/Systems Analyst.
  • Able to provide professional and effective customer service in a fast-paced team-oriented environment by communicating in writing and verbally with team members, management, vendors, community partners, and clients.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage expectations. Detail-oriented and complex troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including clear, concise, and accurately written documents with correct grammar, spelling, and organization of appropriate content.
  • Experience managing and supporting cloud systems, including Azure AD, Microsoft 365/Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, Virtual Environment hosted in Azure.
  • Preferred experience with the administration, configuration, and user support of a variety of software applications.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, daily access to reliable vehicle.

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent movement throughout the office and campus environments, including walking to meetings, events, and work areas. The position may involve periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying materials up to 20 pounds (such as computer equipment or supplies). Regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment. Occasional local travel may be required using multiple modes of transportation.
